Excellent Food we were well looked after and don't feel rushed to leave.

Have been here numerous times and never had any complaints however visited on a very busy Saturday night (8th February)and not sure if that was the reason for such a disappointing visit. The service whilst fast was terrible with plates being thrown onto the table and certainly not with a smile. We were a table of three and the pasta dish was cold, chicken dish dry and again cold and the stroganoff dish lacked taste. Wine glass was covered in previous users lipstick! Such a shame as now will not be rushing back.

We visit The Whitchaff on Saturday evening and enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. Actually we all said that the food was delicious! We had different meals ranging from Steak Pie, Chicken Shawrama burger and Chicken Sizzlers. We ate all of it so that seams to say lots. The staff were all very friendly, respectful and polite to us. We would definitely recommend this lovely place to anyone.

Food was excellent everything was satisfactory very clean relaxing and comfortable Paul was our server very pleasant polite friendly and professional certainly knows his job and the products he was serving will definitely be returning soon

I had an excellent meal with friends last week. We all ate off the specials menu and our main courses were spot on. Service was to the same high standard as usual. The pub was a little quieter than usual and we were the only group seated in the dining room which was a little lacking in atmosphere. However, it did mean that noise levels were low which was good for our conversation. The pub has just been refurbished and is looking great.

Booked a table for a family get together for a family birthday, table was booked for 5pm, the majority of us were looking forward to Sunday roast, but were informed they had run out, so quite disappointed to be honest, we made other choices and the food was delicious, albeit for one dish which was cold, but I did make staff aware and the meal was removed from the bill, a big menu, with lots of choice, beautiful interior and overall a good experience..

The best breakfast bar none . From the quality , perfect cooking , presentation and service , they can’t be beaten . Keep up the good work !

Food was absolutely excellent but unfortunately the draught pipes hadn't been flushed through after cleaning and the lager had chemicals in.

Had a 60th birthday for 17 people.. the owners and bar staff were brilliant.....so very accommodating to our needs. Lovely private area was a bonus.. Food absolutely excellent as was the service. Definitely recommend. Very pleased customer

My children are not fond on roasts so this was a perfect place on a Sunday night for a family dinner. Everyone liked the food and the service was great.

The best pizzas around. Great service, friendly chilled atmosphere. One of our two pizzas was delayed no more than a couple of minutes yet immediately we were offered a free drink/bowl of olives/ dessert. That is top class customer care.Highly recommended.

I love the Whitchaff, consistently good food. Staff are always lovely. I had steak and stilton pie with chips and mushy peas, it's amazing, my friend had a selection of dishes. Cannot praise them enough

Lovely venue, lovely decor. Nice atmosphere. Always spoilt for choice with the menu, too many dishes to choose from that we have to keep returning .Highly recommend. Worth the 30 mile drive each visit

This lovely moorland pub has been a family favourite for years, we enjoyed a cracking Sunday roast, plenty of good food, great service and wonderful views.
