Toms Table – ClitheroeFood exceptional however I found the service a little poor, the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy and we felt a little rushed. Such a shame really, we didn’t leave feeling we had a great experience unlike their other competitors in the area.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkGreat pub, good atmosphere, friendly staff always ready to help. Food good and service spot on. We will be returning.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWasn’t blown away by the dining experience… highlight was we got HAND delivered are missing poppadoms, perhaps the waiter was new.. but crickey common sense is a fine thing. Food was ok, atmosphere and service definitely lacking.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterHad a fantastic time on Sat, 18th March. Food was incredibly tasty with lovely sized portions. Waitresses were very attentive and polite. Atmosphere was spot on, we will definately be back... seated on the mezzanine gave us a fab insight to a well oiled Italian restaurant.
A’Vucciria – RawtenstallPub was lovely and lively, busy and nice atmosphere. Dogs welcome which was great. After ordering the waitress returned to inform us there was a 40 minute wait for food, this wasn’t an issue, happy to wait for good food (which unfortunately wasn’t the case). Ordered a variety of food - Rib eye steak, Dirty Harry burger and selection of starters and small plates for a couple of us to share. Food arrived and could immediately tell the steak was over cooked (ordered rare), it was completely charred and cooked through, we called the waitress over who said she would tell the chef. Another waitress returned to take the plate and get a fresh steak. The next steak was cooked better and tasted nice but very thin cut, soggy onion rings. Definitely quantity over quality. Burger was poor quality, didn’t appear like a fresh beef burger, compressed, dry and tasteless. Halloumi fries were way over cooked, dry and hollow. Spicy fish goujons were soggy, batter was thick and not cooked through. Loaded fries were not typically loaded fries, just tossed in Chinese 5 spice with some onion and pepper and way over priced at almost £8. We informed the waitress of the issues. The young waitress was very nice and apologised. They did offer free desserts but we didn’t want desserts given the quality of food, so had a coffee on the house. Unfortunately we won’t be returning for food given this experience and wouldn’t recommend. There is much better food locally for similar price. Such a shame as it would be lovely to utilise our local to dine out.
Trawden Arms – ColneAmazing food again and lovely service, we will return again.
Toms Table – ClitheroeExcellent food and great service
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterDelicious food. Excellent service. A perfect evening out. I would highly recommend Saturday Night Street Food!
Maxy Farm Pantry & Restaurant – PrestonI couldn’t recommend Quattro’s enough to people. The staff here are lovely, welcoming and can’t do enough for you. It’s a nice relaxing environment, with a great variety of Italian dishes on the menu. It’s value for money is excellent, considering the quality of food, atmosphere & service. 10/10
Quattro’s – OrmskirkLovely pub, fantastic atmosphere with excellent food. We had Duck spring rolls, crispy chicken strips, Gammon, egg, pineapple, homemade chips and Fish and chips and the best sticky toffee pudding I have ever tasted. I will definitely be returning.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnAlways lovely food. Service was t as good as usual we didn’t get offered drinks or asked if everything was ok with the meal.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyHad an afternoon tea on Wednesday. I was very impressed. Food amazing, staff extremely helpful and pleasant. Would highly recommend this place
Bread and Butter – PrestonCalled in on Wednesday15/03/23 for lunch with our oldest friend and we were all blown away with the quality of the food. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. This place has a lot going for it and we will definitely be back soon!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallAlways enjoy the night. Food excellent, staff friendly and standards never change. Great value!
3 Millstones Inn – ClitheroeFirst time visitors. We ate at The Station on a Wednesday evening. There were quite afew people in the pub when we arrived at 6.30pm so a nice atmosphere. A member of staff showed us to our table and took our drinks order. The menu is extensive. We all ordered different things and we didn't have to wait long for the food. 5 clean plates went back to the kitchen. All the staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Food and drink were good value. We will definitely be back.
The Station Hotel – LancasterMy first visit to Whitchaff Inn with friends on 14/3/23. It was delightful, lovely relaxed atmosphere, great service, friendly staff, excellent food with a great choice on the menu. Will definitely be returning soon.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallDefinitely a bit of a curate's egg on our visit. We happened across the place on a walk and promptly booked. The car park and building are superb along with the views. We were greeted and sat on a middle table. Being two window tables with excellent views available, we asked if we could be seated in one of them and were told people had already booked them. We accepted this however, another booth became free before we had even received our drinks but this was given to a couple who had just arrived. This happened again and throughout our visit, one window booth remained unoccupied which was more than a little irritating. As we were looking at the menu, I spotted a chalkboard and stood to have a closer look. The waiter then physically stood in front of me and told me there was nothing for me to see as it was all breakfast options. I found this quite intimidating and very odd, supposing I wanted to see what I could have had if I return for breakfast? This was quite a poor first impression and really put me off. Now, after this initial 5 minutes of what I consider poor service, things improved massively. The waiter cooled off a little and was efficient and pleasant but the waitress was excellent, polite, efficient and engaging. The food took a little while to arrive but this is understandable as the restaurant was quite busy (apart from a few window booths!!!) but was very well presented on beautiful plates. The Thai curry was mild but bursting with flavour and my husband thought it was the best burger he had ever had. Good sized portions, well presented and superb flavour and this more than made up for a frosty start to proceedings. Cake and coffee (with a choice of milks) to finish ended an excellent taste experience. I would definitely return to try more of the superb food. I would award 4 out of 5 stars for an overall impression and 5/5 for the food.
