The Shepherds Rest Inn – TodmordenAs always its a pleasure to eat at Quattros. The food is always first class and the staff are great . New Years Eve was a very pleasant experience with a great atmosphere and fireworks outside at midnight!
Quattro’s – OrmskirkUnable to comment on any of the service or value for money. I booked through the booking system around a month ago in advance after booking a local hotel for 2 nights for myself and the wife over the new years period. Received all the confirmation and we prebooked a taxi via uber with it being new years eve, with things being busy as you would expect. So we arrived for 7pm the time of the booking and went to the bar to get seated, plus for drinks to be told that although they have the booking through the system the kitchen closed at 6pm and they thought they booked out the pub for the entire night. They did check the booking and confirmed it had come through. So we had no option but to try call around other places to see if there had been any room, luckily to an extent there had been a calleation at the Tiger lounge and they could get us in although we had to walk 30 minutes to get there as we couldn't get any taxi and didn't want to pay extra after spending £20 to already get to the griffinshead. After walking the landlady called to apologise offerings free meal for 2 another time which is unfortunately little use when we are not local, but did state we could stay till 9pm and enjoy the platter they are putting out which again not be ideal, considering we booked for a sit down meal not a platter. I would highly recommend the tiger lounge however as the food, service and atmosphere there had been 5 stars, so we will certainly be returning there. Unfortunately, being let down on new years eve with a confirmed booking is never ideal for a first time customer, but we ultimately found a different gem in the area that we will return to now that we know a good place for those who want a great meal. Which is also very good value for money
Griffins Head Bar and Grill – AccringtonTable booked at 5.45 pm new years eve, food not served until 6.40 pm. After finishing our meal waited for 20 mins and still not offered the desert menu, when asked they thought we only wanted a main course, what they wanted was us to leave the table because they had sold tickets for the evening and wanted our table. The staff were very pushy and not polite. We dine their and usually enjoy everything but on this occasion found the experience disgraceful.
The Traders Arms – BlackburnWe had a lovely evening on New Years Eve. I had requested a specific seating area by email and this was fulfilled. The waiting on staff were polite friendly and hospitable and our food was really lovely. We had the meat and cheee board, a bruschetta selection and a fish platter. The ambience of the bar was perfect and not too busy but had an overall pleasant vibe . Avuccuria is our favourite bar and we would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. You will not be disappointed! 10/10 from us!

The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallWe had a long promised trip to The Shepherds Rest Inn on Boxing Day for a Bank Holiday drive out and we were not disappointed. Such a wonderful pub, warm and welcoming and a lovely atmoshpere throughout. We sat in the 'pub side' which was as cosy as you could wish and enjoyed a long and leisurely lunch and drink. Food was excellent, really excellent and the service was just great. A shout out to all the staff and I really should have registered names, but the young gentleman who seated us and served drinks and food, with recommendations (the pie over the burger!), had a lovely approach and was exceptional. A credit to the team and the pub in general. Thank you so much.
