Enjoyable stay, me and my friend visited after completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks, we had made a reservation for food and had also booked a room for the night. The staff were very friendly and the food was great, lovely hearty food just after a big hike, I had the steak, cooked very well. A lovely cosy restaurant with views of lovely Yorkshire greenery. Breakfast was also great, a good selection of hot and cold food and endless juices and coffees. Would recommend a visit.

First let me say the food was excellent. However,the organization of a pre booked meal for 6 was beyond woeful. It took days for the initial email to be answered . I contacted them and explained I needed to pre book meals to be served at 11-30 as we had a taxi waiting at 12-30 to take us to our venue. The staff were lovely and assured me that despite the kitchen not usually opening until 12 noon this could be accommodated. It wasn’t the food arrived at 12-05 ( all pre ordered so no surprises) and we had to bolt it down . No one was able to finish their meals and this was just burgers and sandwiches. It ruined what should have been a lovely day. Danny was excellent ,It wasn’t his fault,but the order should not have been accepted 7 days in advance ,if it was not possible to fulfill. Never spoke to the manageress as she was never available.

Last Sunday we enjoyed an excellent early evening meal at this welcoming restaurant. We knew that it would be good as they were fully booked on Friday and Saturday! The food was fresh and full of flavour, the homemade tiramisu a perfect, and light, end to the meal. Our party of 6, including 2 teen, will definitely be back.

Great little place in Malton. Food is delicious, very nice wines and service and staff brilliant, definitely recommend.

Stayed and ate at Craven Arms while on a 2 day cycling tour with my adult son. Lovely food, reasonably priced, with excellent whisky range. Good breakfast too. Very helpful staff. Try to avoid staying on the A65 side of the building - with windows open on a hot night was noisy.

This was our first visit to Cassiel Bar and we were not dissppointed. The tapas menu was excellent with lots of choice The main courses had a good choice and the portions were huge. The young boy who was our waiter was courteous, polite and attentive. The drinks were not expensive, especially the wine. We shall be back. Keith

Lovely setting and fantastic staff. However the midweek roast was disappointing. The accompaniments were good but the turkey I suspect was processed meat rather than freshly cooked. As such the flavour and texture were not good at all and I left mine.

Excellent meal - staff attentive, efficient and friendly. Food was high quality and so much better than your average pub food.

Absolutely brilliant pub! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. A special mention to the lovely lady who had us laughing throughout our visit — such a warm and genuine person. The food was fantastic too. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

We visited the kings arms around 5 years ago on last visit to the dales and had a very good experience so decided to try it again and were not disappointed. Booked an evening meal.The welcome was very friendly the service was excellent. Had a really nice atmosphere the food was also excellent. Highly recommend

Wow! A hidden gem. From the exterior to the interior, inviting & tasteful, a warm welcome from start to finish from Lesley, Ben & the team. Thank you. The ambience is relaxing, friendly with a sense of history & community. The aesthetics of the menu drew you into what was a extensive menu with a surprise of plentiful vegetarian options I can't wait to explore further. We highly recommend & hope to return soon.
