Super atmosphere and food. We really enjoyed the variety of food on offer.

Lovely evening! Nice helpful staff, friendly atmosphere and lovely food.

We came here for an impromptu lunch as it had been recommended to us and we cant believe we've not been here before! The mixed platter to start had crispy tempura fish and prawns, spicy chicken skewers and several other tasty elements. We also had the spicy pork curry which was as advertised but really flavoursome and a mushroom dish which again was lovely. The service was friendly and got the right balance between being attentive but not intrusive. We will be definitely coming back to try some of the other dishes!

This is the best value food and service in this area. The food is always served piping hot by very pleasant and helpful staff.Never had reason to complain and i recommend this venue everyone i meet.Cant wait to go again.

Everything was very good apart from the salad with my lasagne which had been drenched with dressing. Unfortunately i didn’t think I would need to mention no dressing when ordering the meal.

Best restaurant in Hull. If you enjoy a margarita they are not to be missed. The specials are ever changing and never disappoint. The restaurant is a beautiful space, lovely atmosphere and service has always been outstanding the 5 times we have visited. You can feel the passion for the food and the creativity in every dish, this place is not to be missed. I cannot recommend it enough. Thanks to the team for a great birthday meal out this week. Great selection of ales and food on a Thursday lunchtime. Well worth a visit

We came for a staff night out and had a wonderful evening. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered sharing platter for starters and had a great selection of food. Then we all ordered 2 main dishes as these are smaller plates a bit like tapas. The food was so fresh and tasty !! Gorgeous. We will be back !

Lovely food great atmosphere and professional and friendly staff

Booked online that morning to go for lunch. Greeted by a friendly bar lady and given a table in the main bar area which was a nice relaxed atmosphere. Brie pie with chips was great and so was the chicken pie with mash. Great option to have the beer flight so you can try a few of the local beers. Will come again.

We had an excellent evening. Service, setting and food were all extremely good. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely venue by Giggleswick rail station. Our group of 4 were all impressed with the food eaten in a pleasant environment with friendly staff. Well worth the visit and will return.

What a gem!!! It has become one of our favourite places. Feels very intimate. The staff are wonderful and the food is amazing. Well done to everyone. See you in our next visit xx

Consistently excellent food and service at reasonable prices. There are some serious skills on show in both presentation and flavours from the kitchen. Highly recommended.

Food was nice, however small portions. Kids meal was so small we had to share ours with our son.

First visit in a long time but definitely won't be our last. Although we initially thought it was a little on the pricey side when reading the menu we soon found out why. The food was excellent and the portions were good. This, in addition to the great service and friendly welcome, served to show that you definitely get what you pay for at the White Gate. Would definitely recommend a visit.
