I’ve been to food for cowboys quite a few times and was really looking forward to going again. Last night the food and service was superb. We had the peppers, corn bread with chorizo, scallops, corn on the cob, ox cheek sandwich and a lamb dish. Everything was brilliant, and the best bit, the bill was less than £40 a head. This is high quality dining at a price you can afford.

We had a wonderful time meeting the Tabby Tea team and cats. The care for the cats comfort really showed with how relaxed they were. It was great to have so many vegan options with the cakes, and how the staff took consideration for us when giving out treats for us to give the cats, it was much appreciated ❤️

Stayed in Askrigg village for 5 nights and ate at King's Arms 3 times. Enjoyed our meals - had different meals each time. The menu is varied and food well cooked and presented. Pricing was very reasonable with several different offers each night. Staff were friendly and welcoming

Service was brilliant but we thought the food was terrible. We made our excuses that we were just too tired and that’s why we had left a lot because we felt bad to say how awful it was. The burger had a weird taste and the beef in the stroganoff was not good quality. We will not be back now which is a shame as you are on our doorstep.

A wonderful meal , good food and very well looked after

I’m so sad to write this review. Went here on Friday night to remember my lovely father in law on his heavenly birthday. What a total bad experience. My mother in law was concerned about how big the stroganoff was and asked for a small portion. Got it told we couldn’t have that. Order Thai fish cakes and even the server said they are as big as your head!!!!! Joking aside they were tasteless and rock hard. There was two of them also!!!!! had to also ordered lasagna and scampi. The lasagna was tasteless, gloopy, and burnt. The scampi was okay but lacked in numbers. What a joke of a night! We ordered a coffee and reminded staff three times of that decaf coffee. I’m not even sure it ended up being decaf as my mother-in-law was awake all night long. So sad at our experience on such a poignant evening.

Wonderful!! The Craven Arms is superb, with extremely friendly hosts and is in a great location close to two railway stations and a short walk into Settle town. The atmosphere is fantastic, it has a really homely feel to it, casual and friendly with the public areas as spotless as the rooms. The rooms have sumptuous beds, so comfy and are well equipped. We dined in the restaurant and the food was superb, we appreciated having been advised to book. All in all we highly recommend it and will definitely return 10/10

We had the most wonderful meal at the Kings Arms on our 33rd wedding anniversary on 15th May. The food was, as normal, exceptional. Staff are very good, very efficient and welcoming. We have eaten here a few times now and it is our 'go to' place for exceptional quality.
