Great food the Sunday shared platter was perfect for 2 although a bigger gravy jug would be great. Service friendly and very efficient

We were a party of 6 and enjoyed a really lovely meal . We had Sunday dinners , vegetarian meal and burgers. Every meal was beautifully cooked and we were served by a really lovely guy. Would definitely return if ever in the area agsin

Two of us had Sunday lunch here. The portions were generous, the beef and chicken were both very tender and the Yorkshire puddings were huge! The food was tasty and very enjoyable. We managed to have e puddings as well! The staff were very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. There was a lot of noise from the kitchen which was a bit of a minor distraction.

We had a meal at Sambuca on Sunday evening. All three of us said the meal was fantastic. The service was very friendly and attentive. I had the sea bass with lemon butter. It was amazing. My husband had lamb chops which he said were delicious. My friend had the mushroom risotto which again was delicious. The atmosphere, service and food were all five star.

My husband and myself booked a table at Cassiel bar in Cottingham on Friday 21st of August was a birthday present . We both ordered the battered Haddock. Well I had to leave most of mine , the chips and salad was ok but the batter on the fish was awful was really thick and inside was stodgy, hardly any fish was all hard thick batter . My husband actually ate his but then during the night he was ill . I have had meals there before and have been lovely, but this time was really not good .

Eight guests attended for a 70th Birthday. All had good helpings and all clean plates! Five had dessert - all clean plates! Great food - great atmosphere - great service and a great afternoon - thank you x

Got off to a bad start as despite having booked online and received confirmation email , on arriving staff could not find our reservation so ended up sat at a spare table next to bar. Things got worse when they lost our order in the kitchen, so waited nearly an hour for starter to arrive as other guests around were being served. Then they forgot to bring out fries that were part of wifes main course, almost finished before we found they had been served to adjacent table. Whilst staff did recognise the poor service, and discounted our meal, it does rather detract from what is meant to be an enjoyable and relaxing evening. All of the staff seem to young and inexperienced, with no clear experienced manager which is what one might expect for a restaurant such as this .

Went for an anniversary meal and throughly enjoyed the meal. My husband had the blue Stilton burger and said it was one of the best he has had. My calazone pizza was very tasty and really enjoyed it. especially being able to pour on the sauce as I am not a fan of them when they are served already covered in sauce. Definitely worth a visit.

I ate here for the first time on Saturday and absolutely LOVED it! I had a friend visiting from out of town and I felt proud to show her such an incredible place in Hull. The service and food were excellent and I really appreciated how much variation there was in no-alcohol cocktails too! I'll definitely be back.

Went with friends for my daughter's birthday, we all had a great night. Food was amazing, everything was really tasty, service was great,the girls were really friendly & went through best way to order & recommendations. Top class food at a very reasonable price, we will definitely return!
