Had a wonderful meal last weekend for a birthday celebration for my wife. Service was quick, food was hot and the portion sizes were plentiful. So much so, that we still had some left after we felt full. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Maxis – YorkGood choice of dishes for any need. Products are fresh and delicious. Most of the dishes are served in small or large size. Desserts are homemade and excellent. Breakfast is excellent as well. I tried the Scottish kippers and scrumbled eggs with smoked salmon. Bread, butter and jam/marmelade are of high quality. Yogurt comes from a Yorkshire farm and it is very delicate. I think this is one of the best place I have ever eaten in UK in the last years.
Craven Arms – SettleFirst time here and brought my partner for her Birthday. We both absolutely loved the taste and presentation of the food, fantastic. The overall vibe of the place was great and the staff are lovely. We was too full for desert and said we had a Birthday cake at home but.. A surprise dish of sorbet and chopped fruits with a lit sparkler was brought to our table, how nice was that. Thank you so much Roku Asia. Can’t wait to come back.

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonHad another fantastic evening at Food For Cowboys. The food is delicious with really unique ingredients and flavours, so tasty! Special mentions go to the banana blossom tacos, the maple corn ribs and the (appropriately dirty!) deep fried cherry pie! The staff are lovely, very attentive and friendly. The upstairs restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere playing Latin music at a volume that still allows conversation and the decor makes you feel like you're in a Mexican cantina. The drinks also deserve a mention with a great selection of cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines and soft drinks all complimenting the menu perfectly. A gem in Hull's culinary scene!

The Aegean Taverna – HullVery nice evening meal. Good choice, started with Duck Bon Bons and Whitebait, followed by Lambs Liver and Pork Medallions. All excellent, and generous portions. Service was very friendly both in restaurant and bar.
The Kings Arms – RichmondWe stumbled across the Goodluck Club while on a holiday in Leeds. We were very pleased with our discovery. The staff are so friendly and the food is reasonably priced and very tasty. Portions are a good size. It is an easy restaurant to recommend.

Brooks – IlkleyService was great as usual, with the staff being attentive and helpful. Sadly the fish pie was not at the same standard, with it being dry and mostly salmon. There was a big party in, it was a little noisier than usual nit enough to spoil our night.
