Been visiting this cafe for some time now and service is always great as is food choice and quality. You sometimes have to wait for your food at peak times but are kept informed of wait times.

The food at Ancient Grains is absolutely delicious! We have ordered on both the pre order and a la carte menus and loved it all. We would particularly recommend the meat platter on the pre-order menu and the sardine starter and boar ragú on the mains. The service is brilliant, and the restaurant has gorgeous decor and a friendly, relaxed, but luxurious atmosphere.

Absolutely lovely place! Everyone who served us were wonderful and the food was just perfect! Came here for a birthday meal for my partner and was so glad I did!

Amazing food , beautiful setting and wonderful staff

We were severed by a very rude young lady. We had to request desert menus twice and waited a further 30 minutes until our deserts arrived. When they did come, they were slammed down on the table in front of us. The food was very good, however the service left a bad taste. I will not be returning.

Stopped by for the goat curry. Superb meal. Also friend had the burger, which was just as good. Great service too !!

The food here is consistently very good and I'm really fussy where I eat. The service is always fantastic ad friendly. I have been coming for 5 years and have had only one meal that I was not keen on and was exchanged without fuss.

Excellent food, wine and service. Friendly greeting with jug of ice cold water. The ambiance was great. We had the sharing menu and it was absolutely delicious - deep fried octopus with dip, crab on watermelon- interesting, mussels, shrimp and halibut in creamy sauce (would have liked a bit more of that ) lamb kofta on pitta and delicious cubed crispy potatoes in a garlic sauce and mixed green veg also in delicious dressing - all freshly prepared and more than enough for two - simply delicious. This is my favourite fish restaurant and reasonably priced.

Excellent food and great Hugo Spritz cocktail. Service was just right, attentive but not over the top.

delightful meal with 2 others - pre ordered zuppe di pesce for one, tuna steak and ravioli with lobster from the a la carte. Everyone loved their meal and said they would be happy to eat the same again! Becoming our go to place as the food is so consistently good wherever you wander in the menu.

Excellent seafood restaurant and friendly efficient service. We had the shared platter and it offered a great variety of different flavoursome dishes.

We had a couple celebration meal here and selected the sampling menu. The food was wonderful with particular highlights being the nectarine and beetroot salad, the crab and the bouillabaisse. We ate it all! Thank you for a great evening

Lovely set meal for two Saturday lunch time. The food was delicious and set in a comfortable, relaxing room. Super waitress service. Recommended. We shall return.
