Quirky place with nice atmosphere and worth a visit. We just had some small plates which were nothing special, sounded better on the menu, calamari very disappointing but all in all filled a gap. Beer was good and service very friendly and helpful.

Our meal was excellent. One had Lobster Thermidor and one had grilled lobster with garlic butter. A very long time since we’ve had lobster- only for special occasions and this was really good.Indian potatoes and hispi cabbage as sides were good accompaniments making an excellent main course. Desserts were also good Erin Mess and pan Scott’s with blackberries finished a very fine meal.

1st visit in a while for us, seriously don't know why we left it so long, the service was excellent and the food was delicious and served promptly. I can definitely recommend the bouillabaisse and the monkfish was also a favourite. Only slight downside was it was a little expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. Will try not to leave it so long again

We’ve been to the Globe Inn once on a previous visit to Rye. We liked it so much that this time we ate there twice. Great atmosphere, delicious food and the service is good too. We will be back!

Lovely food , atmosphere and service

Visited on a friend's recommendation and we weren't disappointed. Lovely restaurant in meads although it was quiet on a Thursday evening. Service was first class and we had a great table in the window. The food was amazing and the seafood stew was one of the best and freshest I've ever tasted. Wine was excellent and very reasonably priced. We would certainly recommend it and if you are planning a visit its well worth looking at the "pre- order" menu before in order to get the speciality dishes. High quality all round! Thank you!

We spent my birthday around Rye and discovered this lovely pub with a great menu. The food was delicious and not at all pub grubby. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although we don’t live in the area another visit is a must.

5pm Sunday Roast was really great. Not a fair time to judge the ambience - most folks have headed home by then. Service sufficiently prompt, Roast pork was very good and we'd recommend it. Rustic looking Yorkshire puds were ridiculously light and melted in your mouth. Sticky Toffee pudding was the same - a real delight. Our first time here and we'd absolutely return. Interior quirky, but good quirky. Served by two excellent waiters too. Yep… no complaints whatsoever. A recommendation from us!

Absolutely fabulous dining experience. Lovely atmosphere with great staff, polite and attentive. Now the food. Some of the tastiest and best presented dishes I’ve ever encountered, all cooked to perfection. Not sure there’s a better, more authentic Italian restaurant in Sussex.

The waiting staff at The Denbigh achieved the perfect balance attentive and available, without hovering. Well done the three of you. Food was satisfying. well cooked, veg was perfectly cooked. Good portion size. Its hard to make a steak and kidney pudding and mash look good, but the belly pork and duck salad looked lovely. And tasted great! Clean plates all round !
