Delicious food, lovely staff, really can't fault it and would definitely recommend.

Had a really nice meal, Sunday dinners were delicious (appreciated the nut roast for the vegetarian option as some places think veggies don’t want a roast dinner too) had our dog with us too and was very dog friendly. Meals brought out quick and staff friendly, will definitely be back, thanks!

Beautiful traditional home cooked food, great staff and lovely atmosphere

Very quiet lunch as only three other covers in restaurant, we had a great weekend, very homely, room was excellent but I have to say the ambience of the restaurant compared to the rest of the hotel was awful, breakfast wasn’t that hot in fact the tomatoes were cold, we were not to bothered as we were having lunch but it was like having breakfast in a storeroom, chairs stacked up in the doorway, three each side, not a good look and no tablecloth for Sunday lunch, I realise that the cloth is a cost but put the price up by £2 per head to cover it, we want to return but would eat in the bar and wouldn’t book Sunday lunch as the restaurant lacks atmosphere and what I would expect. Food and service throughout was excellent please pass on our thanks.

We got married here 21yrs ago. It was lovely to come back and enjoy afternoon tea with my parents. Very easy to see why we choose here for our wedding - something really special about the feel to the place. It’s homely and relaxing whilst at the same time of a premium standard - a unique blend that’s really quite becoming.

Excellent value for money

Couldn't taste any alcohol in the long island ice tea.. The vegetables on the Sunday Roast were on the wrong side of al dente. Nobody came to the table to ask how our meals were or if would like any more drinks. Husband had to go the the bar. Couldn't see or taste any gravy on the meals, had to ask for some. Manager just said he'll pass the comments to the chef. Disappointing meal, won't be coming back for the Sunday Lunch.

We love going to Bacchus - it is always wonderful food and the staff are so friendly and courteous. Can’t wait until we visit again!

My wife and I visited The Plough The reception on arrival was very good our table was waiting for us and the staff although were very busy were very pleasant. We both ordered the mixed grill and it was one of the best meals that we have had for a long time.

A great place with a relaxed vibe, great decor . Welcoming and friendly staff. Both of us enjoyed our meal very much. The menu is varied and interesting. Definitely will return

Excellent meal and service as usual

My husband and I stayed for a night and dined here. We both had an excellent vegetarian dish. The place was beautifully decorated and the stoves were on in all three rooms adding to the already festive feel. Nothing was too much for Karen and the team. A lovely place. Would highly recommend.
