I wasn’t going to leave a review but as I received the request, I felt obliged. I’d eaten here a few months ago and really enjoyed it so I suggested to my husband we visit Elmas as we had a babysitter, which is rare, so I wanted to go somewhere nice. The waiter who greeted us had no knowledge of our booking reservation, made a week ago, and proceeded to seat us at the bar. The bar. I requested we move to a different table and we were accommodated, somewhat grudgingly. The service was slow but the restaurant was busy so I expected this. Our starters were fine but when my main course arrived, I was shocked. Overcooked sea bass and undercooked veg, served on a plate of water. It was absolutely revolting and I didn’t eat it. I waited patiently for the waitress to do the usual ‘check back’ so I could express concern but she never came. She’d checked the starters were ok so I was unsure why she didn’t check the main. I sat and waited for my husband to finish his steak, which, to be fair was cooked well for him and when she came to take our plates, I again expected to be asked if everything with my main had been ok and she never said a word, leading me to believe she knew as well as I did that what I had been served was a disgrace. We asked for the bill, paid and left. Stopping off for a pizza on the way home. I appreciate the service industry is suffering through hard times right now but if you can’t provide a good standard of service, don’t. (I have pictures of the main I was served but there is no option to upload it. Happy to provide these for the restaurant manager if they contact me after this review but considering the standard of service received so far, I doubt they will).

First time been food was excellent staff amazing great selection of drinks went with 6 other people they all enjoyed food was worth the money can't wait to go again

Third time I've been and the food was excellent as ever. Brought my mum and dad on a visit to lymm, they loved it too. I had the beef wellington and treacle tart that was fantastic, but all options looked good too. Mum was especially pleased with the low alcohol blonde belgian beer. Will return

This was my second visit to Babba, welcoming attentive friendly staff, amazing extremely tasty food and lovely drinks. Beautiful surroundings and atmosphere. You should not give it a second thought and get booked in.

We really enjoyed our meal at at The Lilac Cottage - well cooked, well presented, good value for money and served with a smile!

Having just moved to Oxton we decided to try out Sabrosa's tapas. I have to say it is one of the tastiest, freshest meals I have had in a restaurant in years. It was absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and efficient and when there was a slight delay to our order we were even given 20% discount! Very very impressed and will definitely be back!

Visited Babba Warrington on Tuesday 4th May, it was our 5th time , the first time for our Grandson and his girlfriend. It was excellent as usual, good quality and good sized portion’s, my Grandson and girlfriend said they will definitely come again. The Manager and all of the staff were brilliant and attentive, good venue, good food, fully recommend it to anyone!

Lovely, quaint and cosy place with a limited but tasty menu! Would highly recommend!

We have been here a lot of times and it is just as good as the last time food is consistently very good very chilled atmosphere for me the best place to eat in Lymm superb friendly staff. We will be back soon.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely meal and drinks - service was efficient and the staff were very friendly. The decor is excellent and kept spotless - it really felt like a special setting. There's a good range of food which we found to be delicious. We were too full to manage any desserts, but the barman's offer of a special dessert cocktail was spot on - my wife loved it! The cocktails continued as he would make up any of our favourite cocktails even if they weren't on the menu. 2 excellent Negronis were delicious and excellent value - as was the whole meal in total. We look forward to returning when we are next in Warrington.
