Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had breakfast 3 times and dinner on Sunday evening. Breakfast was nicely cooked, a little slow on Saturday and the continental breakfast needs a bit more choice I think. Dinner on Sunday was delicious, my steak was beautiful.
Rothay Garden Hotel – GrasmereFood was excellent and atmosphere really enjoyable. The lamb henry delicious and enormous. Recommend
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely meal at Lewis bistro. Friendly staff, good menu choice & tasty food. Good with our children too. Best meal out in grasmere
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat pub, delicious food, and excellent friendly service
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeLovely intimate restuarant. Staff wonderful and friendly which helped with a 4month and 2.5yr old very accommodating. Lovely food nicely presented and cooked to perfection
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAfter hearing good reports about the Greyhound 3 of us decided to give it a go last night but 2 of us were disappointed, the garlic mushrooms had no garlic and the medium rare steak was almost well done. I have to say the host was friendly but the service was slow. Not sure I would return as there are so many places to choose from.
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleThoroughly enjoyed our meal here ,food was outstanding, service was excellent , truly recommend anyone to visit here whilst in Keswick But a tip ,book a table as it gets so busy
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely character country pub in really pretty tiny hamlet of Brigsteer. Sharing baked Camembert to was lovely & not too much, the beef brisket main was absolutely delicious. Great south Lakes location not far from Kendal.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – Kendalfood was excellent, great service and lovely Pub, we have eaten here many times over the years, my only complaint would be there was a small dog in the pub that was very noisy and the owners did nothing about it, there were a few tables with pets ,I don't have an issue with this, the rest of them were really well behaved, this one was very annoying!! did not spoil the meal, would recommend to anyone who has not visited.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalThe evening didn't start well, the reason we chose the pub was for the DRY cider but this had been changed why I've no idea. We also went there for the steaks but they weren't on the menu so had a starter only! The other meals one was cold and was heated up in microwave too much so outside was burnt. The 3rd meal was ok I know dogs are allowed but the next table was feeding their dogs the food they had been served not sure why If you go out for a meal then last thing you want is 2 screaming kids so no family room
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleFriendly, prompt service and food basically excellent. Soggy chips reduce the number of stars I award from five to four-and-a-half.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe had a lovely meal here a couple of nights ago. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The service was great too. Would recommend.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithReally enjoyed our lunch visit to La Mezzaluna. Bright seats by the window or more cosy feeling seats further back. We booked here because it was one of the few places that stays open during the afternoon as opposed to many other places which close after lunch and re-open later! We had three courses and a nice bottle of prosecco which was served in the most gorgeous glass I have ever drank prosecco from! Its the little things that count! The food was gorgeous - Tiramisu was fantastic. Staff so friendly and cheery and I would highly recommend it!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThoroughly enjoyed our meal, service was excellent unfortunately I cannot remember her name other than a young American lady who had just had her birthday. Service was quick as we didn’t have to wait long for our meal and the atmosphere was really good
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeBest fillet steak I’ve ever had, cooked to perfection. Friendly staff looked after us well, lovely place, 2nd time we’ve been and will definitely go again on our next visit.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereFabulous service, food and wine. The Sea Bass was delicious as was the Pork Belly. The desserts were also great!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent food and fantastic service from Bella, Lewis and Callum. Thanks for fitting us in and for a most enjoyable evening.
