A lovely lunchtime meal and excellent service. The beef brisket was extremely good as was the Homity pie. Have visited on a regular basis over the last 15 years and will continue to do so.

Great quality food - menu a step up from pub grub. I had the beef pie which was very meaty and satisfying on a typical British summer night!

I was very lucky to get a walk-in table on a Sunday evening and was so impressed we booked for the following evening. The food was excellent, the real ales fantastic, and the portion sizes generous. Excellent service and staff. If you're looking for a proper traditional lakelands pub this place is perfect but do book it gets busy.

We received a warm welcome and attentive friendly staff who served us and the food was delicious, we all enjoyed our meal. Would definitely return should we be in the area again. Glad we booked in advance. Already passed on our recommendation to others.

Lovely meal in the restaurant as non residents of the b&b. Made to feel welcome. Party of adults and children. Good menu choice for all & fast and friendly service. Restaurant itself a bit tired but a good meal was had. Food very nice pub food.

We had breakfast 3 times and dinner on Sunday evening. Breakfast was nicely cooked, a little slow on Saturday and the continental breakfast needs a bit more choice I think. Dinner on Sunday was delicious, my steak was beautiful.

Food was excellent and atmosphere really enjoyable. The lamb henry delicious and enormous. Recommend

Lovely intimate restuarant. Staff wonderful and friendly which helped with a 4month and 2.5yr old very accommodating. Lovely food nicely presented and cooked to perfection

After hearing good reports about the Greyhound 3 of us decided to give it a go last night but 2 of us were disappointed, the garlic mushrooms had no garlic and the medium rare steak was almost well done. I have to say the host was friendly but the service was slow. Not sure I would return as there are so many places to choose from.

Lovely character country pub in really pretty tiny hamlet of Brigsteer. Sharing baked Camembert to was lovely & not too much, the beef brisket main was absolutely delicious. Great south Lakes location not far from Kendal.
