Ate in the dining room on Saturday night. Lovely old room, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We had their pie - awesome. Nice beer as well.

Glen Rothay Hotel and Badger Bar – RydalHad a fantastic night, everyone enjoyed our time in the restaurant. Will definitely be back, thank you for making our night special!
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleLovely people, delicious food. Another delicious meal at the Pheasant. Beef madras/Chorizo stuffed chicken. Raspberry & white choc cheesecake. Highly recommend
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe love going to Beetham, when we can, to see a quaint village that dates back many centuries. The focus in Beetham is The Wheatsheaf Hotel and pub. The food is nicely presented and high quality. We have been a number of times before and always enjoyed it.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeGreat dining out experience. Food piping hot , plenty of it and well tasty. Never disappointed at the Pheasant.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThe pub is a wonderful historic building, 300 years old, beams and all. Lovely people, great service... good traditional food (but a bit too much of it). The only off-putting thing was the sticky surface of the pub table. The waitress did spray and wipe it when asked, but it remained unpleasantly sticky... either old concealed beer-spill or solvent-damaged varnish? Also there was a football match on TV so it would have been nicer to eat in the dining room in an atmosphere more conducive to appreciating our meal.
Queens Head Inn Tirril – PenrithFour of us had a very enjoyable meal at the Peasant Inn. All very well prepared home cooked food with very friendly and helpful staff. We would recommend the Pheasant Inn and will be back when next in the area.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGreat Sunday lunch. I had pork and hubby had chicken. Both served with yorkshire puddings and a great selection of veg. We shared lemon posset for pudding served with home made shortbread biscuits. Food excellent and staff friendly and efficient. Book in advance to he sure of a table.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe visited The Wheatsheaf recently and enjoyed the food we were served, the Staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. Should we be in the area again we will most definitely call in for a meal.
The Wheatsheaf Inn – KendalThis was the first time we had visited and the food and service was top notch! We arrived early but they let us have a table and have pre dinner drinks. Unfortunately they didn't run to cocktails, though they seemed to have all the ingredients. The scallops were delicious, which all 4 of us had, followed by the pork or steak, though I thought the latter was overpriced. All food was cooked to perfection. I would certainly recommend this little gem!
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithAlways book a table here when we're holidaying in Keswick. Food is very good nice atmosphere in a busy restaurant.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickGorgeous little place ! Lovely food and staff ! Highly recommended!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellant all round
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeA hotel full of character set in a lovely village just far enough away from the main road. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The menu was quite extensive and varied. It was well prepared and presented. Louise was very efficient and not over pushy. Overall a very nice experience in a lovely hotel.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe Farmers Arms at Lowick Green was recommended by the host of our Airbnb holiday home. A party of 7, we were made to feel very welcome on arrival. The staff were friendly and looked like they really enjoy their work. We sampled a range of the local ales and lagers, delicious!! Whilst the menu is not extensive, there was something to appeal to everyone and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. We loved the 70’s vibe and decor .
Farmers Arms – UlverstonGreat atmosphere with friendly staff - food, limited choice but excellent quality on ‘pizza Thursday’
Farmers Arms – UlverstonWe had a wonderful meal here, it’s so refreshing to be able to go to a place and eat top restaurant food whilst with the dog… most dog friendly places are pubs or do basic food. We were pleasantly surprised with this place. Every course was wonderful, excellent and friendly service and the place was full which makes for a great atmosphere! Didn’t even notice any dogs as they’re all so well behaved. Will return next time we are in the lakes!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereGreat Food best meal of the week in Keswick.service great.portions Great. Will be back in November. Thanks
