We got vouchers as a wedding present and went on Saturday 3rd January. Service was impeccable and the food was divine. Will definitely return.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe had a News Years Eve meal, I’ve got say the Food was exceptional, the Fillet Steak was cooked to perfection for us we asked for medium rare with a slightly charcoal finish and it was perfect, also the service and staff were so friendly and helpful!!! Would definitely Highly Recommend it, and not miss ever going there then next time staying in Penrith !! BRILLIANT!!!
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithAnother fabulous meal, we shared the bread and dips which were delicious and then had pizza. Yum. Also had a pistachio espresso martini - so impressed I ordered a bottle of pistachio liqueur ❤️

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent food , in a wonderful ambience . A truly excellent British pub.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeAn excellent New Year's Day lunch. Great food, wide-ranging, quality drinks choice and top notch service from staff. Definitely a five star establishment. As a vegetarian I did find the choice rather limited and the soup course - which I would normally expect to be universal - was not veggie friendly. An observation which is not enough to put us off returning but maybe an additional veggie main might be considered? All-in-all a very pleasant dining experience. Thank you.
Horse and Farrier – PenrithNew Years Eve meal!! The food was absolutely delicious & the service is second to none. A great experience! We will be back soon.

The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeEnjoyed a very nice meal with friends, it was very busy but our host looked after us really well and gave advice on various dishes to suit us.
Sage and Vine – Carlisle5 star!
Sage and Vine – CarlisleExcellent as always Repeat customer and never fails to deliver excellent, tasty tapas. Love the honeyed feta and chorizo dishes the most
Sage and Vine – CarlisleSorry to say but we didn’t eat. We arrived just before 6pm. We waited about 25 mins for a drink at the table. Another 20 mins for our order to be taken and after being there an hour a half our food still had not arrived. We did ask how long but we were not prepared to wait any longer. There were complaints in the dining room from a large party that the food that they had pre ordered ( which arrived an hour or so late) was not cooked properly namely the chicken. This put us off even more. There was a young girl serving a full bar, and waiting on in the restaurant. She said that they were short staffed! The ‘chef’ was behind the bar and bringing the food out to the big table. They were taking walk ins for food. The waitress was struggling with the bar and people were waiting over 30mins for drinks. I’m from an F&B background and it was awful to watch. Especially when the pub was recommended.
