The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeExcellent dinner both both of us, and looking forward to our next visit later this week!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAbsolutely amazing food, good lager, really well staffed. Great night. Recommended 100%
Pheasant Inn – KeswickJust been to the Greyhound for the first time and will definitely recommend it to anyone. Lovely quaint pub with lovely friendly staff. The food was scrumptious and fantastic value for money. Definitely will be going back soon.
Greyhound Inn Cotehill – CarlisleFirst time with our daughter from Scotland and her partner. Excellent meal, we all thought that it was great. Presentation, food quality, taste, style all excellent; staff friendly and helpful. Altogether a first class experience.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithFirst class menu, excellent presentation, superb tastes. Could not be better on any course.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithLovely family run restaurant with a warm welcome and very tasty food. The garlic mushrooms starter is to die for and the sea bass and chicken mains were delicious.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereVery welcoming and friendly family run restaurant. Tasty food and relaxed atmosphere. The garlic mushrooms and the chicken gnocchi were particularly good as were the ice creams
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent menu ,outstanding food, the staff are friendly and very professional. If in the area you must visit this restaurant.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereDO NOT BOOK ONLINE. I booked and received a confirmation email. I have also received this invitation to review our meal. The only trouble is that THERE WAS NO MEAL. All we got was a brief sorry, no meals this week. Very disappointing after a long day’s drive in a village with little else. There is a small fish and chip/ Chinese takeaway. We resorted to that, it is of dubious quality. Definitely not good enough.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsLewis’ is a ‘little gem’. We had a great meal and really enjoyed ourselves in the relaxed setting. There is nothing about this special restaurant that I would change and we will certainly be booking in next time we are in Grasmere.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThe atmosphere on a Friday is great and a lot of new faces who are all helpful and welcoming and that just adds to the delicious food. The cobb salad is gorgeous with avocado, eggs, pecans, chicken breast and bacon plus the expected salad leaves but this is more protein than salad so no skimping here and ordered garlic bread without cheese which is my first choice now for the best garlic bread and I love my garlic bread. My friend’s son wanted something plain and this was arranged with no problems and averted a meltdown. We did have to ask for the dessert menu twice but to be fair it was crazy busy. Definitely book in advance if possible.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeQuality food , more than your average pub food . Good size portions, quality ingredients and cooked to perfection! We visited 3 times within a weeks holiday in Keswick . Make sure you book !
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food, every course was good, very well cooked and presented, friendly helpful staff, nice atmosphere. I would recommend this restaurant.
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithMe and two friends visited on Wednesday evening, the place was really busy but with a relaxed dining experience. We all had pasta dishes and all came piping hot and had lots of flavour. The lasagne is amazing! We also had homemade chips & garlic bread with cheese to share both equally as tasty to accompany the mains. Puddings also delicious ! Cheesecake and sorbet both went down a treat. The service was great even with a busy restaurant the service didnt lack! Everything was very reasonably priced for a lovely restaurant! We will be back in the future for another catch up, thankyou!
