We loved our evening at Lewis’s Bistro. The food was exceptional and the service impeccable. Not keen on dogs in restaurants so hence atmosphere marked down slightly. Would definitely recommend.

We live in Keswick but dont eat out that often. We had heard good things about the Pheasant Inn, Keswick so booked a table for my birthday. The pub was really busy and all tables were occupied so I was glad we had pre-booked. The staff were dashing around serving food but they were really friendly and welcoming. The food I gotta say was absolutely fabulous. I ordered the chicken, ham and leek pie which came with a beautiful tarragon & madeira sauce and side veggies. My husband had the salmon with crushed potatoes and brocolli. We both loved the food so much we have booked again for my husbands birthday.

Found this establishment recommended in a guide book and wanted the certainty of an advance booking for our first evening in Keswick. We were sufficiently impressed that we booked a further two early evenings slots. The food was excellent and the service too - polite, friendly and professional staff and prompt delivery of our meals without any quality compromise. My wife is a vegetarian (who also enjoys boneless fish fillets) and she was delighted with the vegetarian options. The Pheasant was only a 15-20 minute walk from our B&B on Southey Street (which seems to be B&B central) through a nice park along the river. Pricewise the Pheasant seems to be on a par with other pubs (£15 - £23 for mains, extra for steaks) and the quality and portion sizes were very good. I can heartily recommend the Lamb Henry (very filling), the Venison Bourguignon and the Lakeland Beef Pie. Drinks prices reasonable.

I booked a table at Lewis’s Bistro as we were on holiday and celebrating my wife’s 60th birthday. This booking was based purely on reviews and menu options and I must say our party of five absolutely loved this Bistro. Everything about it was first class from the moment we arrived. The service, food and atmosphere could not have been faulted even when my wife’s mash potato came out cold nothing was to much trouble to change it . If we ever come back to Grasmere we would certainly book again at Lewis’s
