Glad we booked as it was very busy, even on a Tuesday evening. We were a party of 4 and all just had main courses. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. I had the goulash, from the specials, which was nice, but the meat was a bit chewy. My husband had the Chicken Balmoral which was delicious, the chips were nice and chunky but sadly were over cooked with a slight burnt taste. We did ask to see the sweet menu, but the member of staff must have forgotten, but they were very busy and to be honest, none of us were all that bothered about having a sweet, so we paid the bill and left.

Amazing meals at this great pub. Service was excellent and staff so accommodating. Food was delicious. We were a party of 6 all with different meals and every one was fantastic. Would definitely come back. Lovely atmosphere. Cosy and busy. Thank you.

we stayed with friends , stay was lovely , reception were fabulous , down side , restaurant staff had no clue what they were doing , did nit know what a liquour coffee was , simply put a shot in a black cup of coffee? also the lamb was ridiculous one tiny little circle of lamb could hardley see it , for those prices its unacceptable , this needs to be sorted otherwise everything else was nice

Superb venue for our family meal and excellent atmosphere. Staff really nice and attentive and will definitely be returning real soon. Food was fantastic and piping hot.

Been to Lewis’s a few times now. Wonderful food. Wonderful service. Wonderful people. Well worth a visit. We will be, the next time we’re in Grasmere

A wonderful evening in this super friendly restaurant. The food was very good, beautifully cooked and presented but needed a bit more variety. We will definitely be going again and will look forward to it very much.

As always, really fresh and tasty food, with no rushing you through courses. Never fail to recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great restaurant and/or Italian food.

Had some really nice that food here. Pub and surroundings were quite rowdy but it was Saturday night. Young staff very friendly and great service. Not a place for a romantic meal for 2 but was a great and entertaining night out with friends

I was disappointing after ordering pork to find that there was no stuffing or apple sauce. The overall meal was nice put cold. I would have expected more from reading the reviews again

Lovely food and good service. Old traditional pub & restaurant. Book to get in the dining rooms as there are dogs everywhere in the bar area. Also book because it gets busy as the food is so good. Easy to book on line.
