Amazing food- what a lovely surprise for a humble pub. Definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I enjoyed another lovely evening at Lewis’s with our little dog. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is consistently great and puddings are particularly good! We’ll be back here next time we visit Grasmere

We're here on a week's holiday with our daughter and managed to get into The Pheasant Tuesday evening. Beautiful food , so fresh and lovely staff. My husband had the venison which he said was so tender. The fish pie and all the veg were all tasty & beautifully cooked. Our daughter loved the cumberland sausage too !Great portions , so much so we couldn't manage a dessert !

A delightfully charming old world pub with a bright and modern conservatory to dine in. Very welcoming staff. "The best steak I've ever had" from my fellow diner and I really enjoyed the fish pie. Highly recommended

Never had a bad meal, always delicious and always a warm welcome aswell.

We were a group of six visiting from various parts of the Country for a family wedding. I booked easily on line. Met by a delightful waitress who attended to our needs throughout the night. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked, although our bill was a tad high, you have to pay for quality and there was not a morsel left on any plate. Great place and if we were in the area again we would visit.

Very friendly, helpful staff. We arrived with one extra than we had booked for. Despite the fact that they were full, they managed to organise our booking and sort out the seating without it appearing to be a problem and with a good sense of humour. The menu was very interesting; the food was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked! All in all, an excellent Sunday lunch. We hope to return very soon.

The food is amazing and the staff are very nice. The atmosphere is great and the play park is very good.

The pizza was like bread it was chewy and not good to eat and the drinks took a while to be served.

The service and hospitality were excellent and the food outstanding, the staff could not have been more tentative, planning a return visit and would recommend to anyone to visit for a meal
