We really enjoyed our dinner and overnight stay at the perfect pub. Great atmosphere and charming bar. Room was fab and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.

We had a lovely meal at the Wheatsheaf. From the initial friendly welcome, to the great service from the staff & very nice food. Can’t fault anything. Highly recommend a visit.

A lovely welcome from the barman who made us feel really welcome. We were a group of 6 and everyone loved the food. All the meals came together with just a nice wait time. The only downside to our meal, we wanted to try the puddings but weee too full. Next time we might go for one of the delicious looking starters and a dessert.

Everything was fantastic from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere, the food, the wine selection and local gins! The cheese board was superb as was the main course lamb rack. I highly recommend Lewis’s Bistro.

Had a lovely meal last night, smoked duck salad starter for me and cheese soufflé for my wife both were lovely and perfect size, often starters are far too big. Then for main, roast chicken for me and loin of pork for my better half again absolutely delicious. Dessert followed for me, dark chocolate crème brûlée. Again just the right portion size. the portion sizes are such that you can enjoy a full 3 courses without being over stuffed. We had a lovely evening and we’ll definitely be back

We prebooked this restaurant after checking Tripadvisor and the food is very good. I would have given 5* as my food was superb, chicken,leek and bacon pie, my wife had the pork fillet from the specials board and found it too salty. However if in Keswick this is worth a visit about a 12 minute walk out of town but the staff are friendly.

Hearty, delicious food. Enormous portions and we were too full to have a pudding. Friendly, efficient service in a lovely environment. Will definitely come back and highly recommend.

We had read good things about Lewis's and after a wonderful 3 courses capped with Amarettos over ice, we agreed that the food is lovely, the service is attentive without being intrusive and the price is about right for the location and the standard of the menu on offer. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

I explained one of our group is vegetarian and gluten intolerant at the time of booking, but the only real option was the vegetables without the meat/wellington. It was quite cold when we sat down, but it did warm up a bit when a few more people came in. The basic roast dinners were generous, but there weren’t many side vegetables for 4 people to share. Nice ice creams.
