Excellent food. Lovely service too and the they catered extremely well for our gluten free member.

From entering the busy restaurant (always a good sign) we were quickly led to our table. Menu was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal with efficient service throughout. Portions were plentiful and presented well. Would revisit on our next visit to Grasmere. Tried a different restaurant each night during our stay and Lewis’s stands out from the rest. Another couple from the same hotel we were staying at tried Lewis’s the following night of our visit and had the same excellent experience. Really could not fault anything, which is a rarity these days. Would recommend to anyone visiting Grasmere to try for themselves, although would advise to book in advance as visitors turned away, as fully booked, while we were there.

We were on holiday in the area and booked a meal one evening. The staff were very attentive and the menu was interesting and varied. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Thank you.

Lewis’ Bistro gave superb service, a fine menu, perfectly prepared and presented food, pleasing atmosphere—or as my granddaughter would say, good vibe—all for very fitting value. I cannot praise it highly enough. The plate had a commendable array of offerings, and each was beautifully prepared—steak (cooked exactly as we wanted and tender enough to cut with dinner, not steak, knife; terrific onion rings and potatoes, as well as a refreshing salad. We would happily return again and again, were we in this area.

We were a party of 14 we pre ordered our food . No mistakes on the order . food was lovely.Staff were brilliant . They dressed the table for us it was a hen do for family and made it a special night everyone had a wonderful time . Thank you

Excellent food, lovely staff, the owners always go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your dining experience, little gem in the heart of Grasmere.

Great food, well priced for the area, which us no mean feat! Three niggles: 1. We explained food intolerance issue for two of us on the booking form but this was totally ignored. Usually this issue is picked up at the point of welcome and discussed but, here, there was nothing. We instead chose items that we thought wouldn't present a problem, only to be faced with the offending foodstuff! At that point we reminded them of the problem. It's a tiring issue to deal with so we don't eat out much as a result and really appreciate staff looking after us. Note to self - continue to be active in making a fuss about the problem on arrival! 2. We had the second dining slot at 8.30. Don't arrive before then as there is NO room to wait with a pre-dinner drink. Nor are early arrivals welcomed! 3. The restaurant is tight on space and you may share your table within breathing distance of your eating neighbours.

Our annual visit to Keswick and we always have at least 2 meals at the Pheasant and always book well in advance. On the Saturday night it was incredibly busy and there was quite a wait for food but it was certainly worth waiting for. The Venison Bourguignon was great as was my wife's vegetarian option. On Wednesday we both had Lamb Henry with chips rather than mash. Another great meal. Suberb chips and vegetables and on both occasions neither of us could manage a dessert. Staff were very friendly, especially the man who was waiting on and sorted out a table for a couple with a baby and offered to help them carry out their own highchair after their meal. Also liked that they sent confirmation email after I booked online and I also got a reminder of the booking the day before. Best meals of our holiday. All in all, faultless. Thank you. The pub was busy and so service was slow. When we got our coffees they were warm at best. When our meals arrived which was quite a bit later, I found the fish batter too greasy for my taste but my husband enjoyed his ham, eggs and chips although the eggs were not runny. Also a tad expensive in general

Reviews about the beef pie were right. Great meals and deserts and it felt like we had a really good dining experience. Will be sure to return next holiday.

We had a team meeting at The Kings Arms for Thai night and it is fantastic! Thai night at the kings is an amazing idea and we will definitely be back thank you! The food was amazing and so were the staff!

Great pub, good food & beer. Friendly & chatty staff, good service. Definitely on our list to go back
