Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereExcellent place to stay or just visit for food and drink. Lovely room and the breakfast was pretty much perfect as well as the food in the evening. Staff were so friendly and helpful, would thoroughly recommend to anyone.
The Wheatsheaf at Beetham – MilnthorpeThe restaurant was really lovely and cosy The staff were all great and very accommodating the food was amazing too Didn’t wait too long They even went to the shop next door to buy some apple sauce especially for me
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereAbsolutely perfect in every way! Food, drinks, service, interiors, prices & bill, even the music was perfect.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickReally good service, excellent food inc vegetarian options. We go at least once a year, for my birthday.
General Burgoyne – UlverstonExcellent service, food and value
Pheasant Inn – KeswickUnfortunately I booked for 17:30 rather than 19:30 but we were pleased that they managed to find a table for us and we enjoyed the meal.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food and service.. would definitely recommend if you’re visiting the area
Grants Of Castlegate – PenrithOne of the best meals I’ve had! Lamb was amazing! Service was perfect!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThis was our 4th visit and once again it did not disappoint. Service was great as was the quality of food. I would also like to mention that one of our party has a food allergy which makes eating out an anxious experience. However, I have to say that we were put completely at ease with regards to this as a full explanation was given regarding what foods contained and where they were prepared. One of the best experiences we’ve had in a restaurant regarding allergies. Will definitely be back!
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereThe staff were friendly professional courteous & accommodating. The surroundings were very nice and 3 out of the 5 meals we ordered were nice, sadly the cheese and onion pie was not to good and the pastry was inedible , however it was late at the end of serving.
Hope and Anchor – Grange-over-SandsAbsolutely lovely meal here on Easter Sunday evening. In fact it was easily the best meal we had over the weekend! Well worth the little walk from Keswick town Centre. My only complaint was there was too much!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickOnce again, a lovely meal at the Kings Arms. All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and our young waiter was very pleasant.
Kings Arms – UlverstonHad a lovely Sunday lunch here Easter weekend - really nice traditional pub with fantastic food and great service.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely setting in Great Urswick. Lovey old pub with a lovely range of beers etc. The conservatory was perfect for our large family group with children for Easter Sunday lunch. Great home cooked food and varied menu at reasonable prices. Something for everyone. Staff worked really hard to make everything perfect for us. Thanks to everyone at General Burgoyne 10/10 !
General Burgoyne – UlverstonHad Sunday lunch, was absolutely superb. The Pheasant came highly recommended from family members, so was expecting a lot - I didn’t leave disappointed. Beer was so good also!
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent meal, friendly polite staff, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be returning soon. Recommended
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe visited on a Friday evening (2 people), atmosphere was nice and calm. Old wooden bar stools in the dining area were not the most comfortable to sit on. We ordered from the Thai menu, chicken wings for starters were tasty, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the main courses - very watery and lacked greens/veg. The service was relatively poor throughout the night - no cutlery or napkins provided with starters, when our mains arrived we asked which dish was which as they looked extremely similar, the waiter told us we that he didn’t know and that we’d just have to try them to find out. Unfortunately the service did spoil our experience and we wouldn’t be likely to return when compared to alternative food establishments in the town.
