Alas we did not stay to eat. The table for 2 was located next to the stairs with barely a space to pass on either side - a bit like a broom cupboard. I was told it was a pity I didn’t phone to request where I wanted to sit. I won’t be returning in a hurry.

My husband had the venison which he said was so tender. The fish pie and all the veg were all tasty & beautifully cooked. Our daughter loved the cumberland sausage too !Great portions , so much so we couldn't manage a dessert !

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWe were a group of six visiting from various parts of the Country for a family wedding. I booked easily on line. Met by a delightful waitress who attended to our needs throughout the night. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked, although our bill was a tad high, you have to pay for quality and there was not a morsel left on any plate. Great place and if we were in the area again we would visit.
