The food here is always excellent. We’ve been several times whilst visiting Keswick. A good range of choices, super tasty and fresh. Whether you want something indulgent or more healthy. The menu changes too so there is always a reason to go back (although I love that the works burger stays there!) Staff are also very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

Pheasant Inn – KeswickA lovely restaurant with amazing views over the estuary visible through the floor to ceiling windows. The service was amazing but even that was surpassed by the food. The choice in this restaurant was excellent, both for a carnivore like me and my vegetarian partner in all courses. The food arrived promptly and was expertly presented and tasted marvellous. After dinner, we went into the very cosy bar and snuggled up in front of the roaring log fire. All in all, this restaurant is probably not for anyone looking for a cheap, quick bite but for a romantic, memorable evening, you would absolutely not be disappointed

Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereLovely cosy pub with nice fire. We both had the beef pie with chips and veg. Pie was lovely as were the chips. Gravy was loaded with dried thyme which was very overpowering and didn’t taste nice at all. Just hearty beef gravy would have been nicer.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleA great day at the Netherwood , a lovely impressive hotel and setting. The spa was lovely , relaxing and the lunch was delicious with attentive service. Our table was reserved with a name card, next to the roaring fire. A very enjoyable day out. We will come back and hopefully will stay overnight at the hotel.

Can not fault it, the service was ten out of ten all the staff were super friendly and the service was quick, we would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting quality food and a nice quiet friendly atmosphere.

Only criticism is that is was so cold inside, especially if you are sat in line with door to toilets, that both myself and the two ladies either side of me had to wear our coats whilst eating.
