Had a lovely meal at the pheasant. Polite and helpful staff. Both of us had off the specials board and really enjoyed it. Second visit here and we will be back next time we are in keswick

Booked this last minute and wasn’t disappointed. Service and food were both great. Staff were friendly and helpful!

We had eaten here on a previous trip to Lakeland (a year ago) and the Sunday lunch was great. This year we came on Wednesday Erving with my parents (7 of us altogether) and unfortunately it was a different story. Food was very poor quality (rubbery burgers, undercooked fish, cremated beans). One meal was completely missed and my partner had his meal after the rest of us had finished. Food seemed to be being sent back to the kitchen from multiple diners. Such a shame as the actual pub is nice and makes a change from the caravan site. We won’t go back there for food again.

Popped in for tea. we weren't sure what to expect after reading some recent poor reviews. We can't fault it, the service was great the food was very tasty. We had to wait a little while for the food but that's to be expected when it is freshly cooked. As far as we are concerned the food was restaurant standard, not your usual pub fare. we'll definitely be going back.

My partner and I got the lamb and the venison and shared the meals. The first hot food in a few days after going up some mountains and it was absolutely delicious! Exactly what we needed. Great pub vibes too. I loved the amount of pheasant decor. Would recommend and hope to visit again!

This was our first visit to Lewis's and it won't be our last. The venue, staff and food were exceptional. The only niggle was a rather restless dog at the next table.

Amazing food, lovely pub, dog friendly however the only criticism was the 6 meals for our table came out in dribs and drabs with chips and veg coming to the table some time after the main dish. Felt a little disorganised. But would still visit again.

Food was delicious We had Sunday roast. The roast potatoes really hit the spot. They were crispy outside and fluffy inside - absolutely gorgeous. The veg was really tasty and plentiful. Shame that there was no lamb left (we arrived just after 2) but both beef and pork were lovely (pork was my favourite) Highly recommended

Fabulous Sunday Lunch. All the staff were very friendly in this traditional country pub. Thanks for the tit-bits for the dogs they loved it too.

Excellent meal at Lewis’s on Friday, perfectly cooked and well presented moreover the dining room staff are friendly and very customer focused. The whole team should be congratulated for delivering a first class experience

Always have an enjoyable night out here and the service/food are excellent. In addition the menu is excellent value. Happy to recommend

Just spent a week on holiday in Keswick, staying two doors down from The Pheasant. We went there for dinner on Friday 18 August and we're completely blown away. I had the Venison Bourginion whilst my three family members had the Lamb Henry. Finished off with sticky toffee pudding. The food here is incredible. It was beautifully cooked, portions are very generous and the staff lovely. I'm difficult to please, but our evening at The Pheasant was so good we re-booked for the following night - Saturday 19 August. Second visit was just as good. Do yourselves a favour.... If you are near Keswick, eat at The Pheasant. Best meals out I've had in ages and prices were reasonable too.
