Table for 3. Lovely choice of meals. Very accommodating to one member who is dairy free. All 3 meals were lovely, very tasty & well presented. Staff very friendly and helpful. Portions perfect after a very long walk on the fells. Been before & never been disappointed. Thank you

First time I’d visited The Wheatsheaf and thoroughly enjoyed the Cobb Salad, I’d chosen. The other three people in the party all enjoyed their food too. Staff very friendly and polite. Good service, didn’t feel rushed allowing us to have a good catch up. Will return !

Very good service. Disappointed that the Thai meals weren’t on on Friday but I had the special steak and ale pie. Beautiful and homemade. Comes with very small gravy and even smaller portion of garden peas. Had to ask for more gravy(I like a lot of gravy. Very tasty but still felt hungry afterwards

Had a fantastic Wednesday evening Thai meal last night. It was served quickly and was delicious. Atmosphere was good and staff catered for us well. Recommend coming any time.

Been here many times, lovely atmosphere, great staff and food. However, I came on Wednesday to celebrate my birthday and had the fillet steak with mushrooms and veg. The steak was awful, thin and chewy and no way a fillet. Such a shame !

Fantastic food, friendly place to go we enjoyed it that much we went back again, will definitely come here again when in the area.

We really enjoyed our meal and appreciated the perfect portion sizes which allowed us to eat it all up! Friendly service and welcoming atmosphere added to our stay. We look forward to a return trip.

The spa was great. Not crowded and the lady that showed us round was professional. The food …. Small potions. £7:00 for a scone. A tea spoon of cream for two scones, no butter. Goats cheese salad really small absolutely not worth the money. The waitress was snotty. When I asked for more cream we got another teaspoon of cream. I would not return to the restaurant for this reason. The hotel is beautiful with great views.

Our food was well presented and very tasty. We dined early ( our preference ) and didn't feel rushed. It was busy as we were leaving , but still maintained a relaxed atmosphere. Both ladies at front of house friendly and attentive. We had 3 courses ,bottle of wine and coffee for 2 people at a reasonable price for the location and service.

Nice food and good service. We visited on a Sunday night so was fairly quiet. The lights in the restaurant was very bright, lower lighting would be nice but that’s just a personal choice.
