Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe received a lovely welcome. Shared the salt& pepper king prawns and the olives with rustic bread to start. Both gorgeous. Mains, I had the steak which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the cod which he said was delicious. We will return.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereMy friends and I went for Happy hour. The food is delicious . There is a lot of choice and as a gluten free person was told that both the pasta and pizza dishes can be adapted. We were upstairs and the restaurant still had a good atmosphere. The service was very good and we would go again.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFirst visit. Booked in advance of a short break in Carlisle. So glad we did. Everything was top class. Highlights were the two pasta dishes which deserve 11/10. Original and perfectly cooked.
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleWelcoming and friendly atmosphere with an interesting menu. We had the steak and belly pork both of which were superbly cooked and the ice cream finished off the meal decadently.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereHad an amazing time at the spa then afternoon tea will be returning
The Netherwood Hotel and Spa – Grange-over-SandsWe had lunch with our daughter and her friend and as usual the food was excellent, with generous portions, and friendly staff.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWent for a Sunday afternoon birthday treat whilst on a short break in the Lakes. Good menu options, including for a gluten intolerant member of our family, really nice food served in very hearty portions, great service and a nice country pub ambience even though only a very short walk from town. Two pieces of advice to pass on; 1. pre-book rather than risk it on spec as the pub/restaurant were deservedly packed 2. make your mind up whether you prefer a starter or a dessert as you would need a really healthy appetite to finish three courses here! Many thanks to all for a great dinner and a lovely experience.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely pub which served excellent food. Menu choice good despite a couple of choices off the menu. Food hot and plentiful, service excellent. Caters for clients who have food allergies. Well worth a visit,we will be back.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThe pie and chips with seasonal veg was all fantastic, we eat the lot, yum yum, would Defford go again
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFantastic Sunday dinner, really good quality and well presented for a very reasonable price.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickHad lunch Saturday this weekend and have to say the food was delicious! We had the winter salad and a burger washed down with some fruity smoothies. Service was friendly and quick too! We would highly recommend, little gem in Keswick!
Plant by Kat’s Kitchen – KeswickBrilliant meal at Lewis’s last night ! Staff were so welcoming and friendly! Lovely little place with great atmosphere and the food was delicious! Couldn’t fault it at all and we will return later in the summer, see you then and thanks
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe were a group of 10 with various tastes and requirements and all enjoyed the choices available on the menu. The portion size was generous. The staff were polite and attentive. We will return.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickFabulous food and wonderful service. Just wish we lived 100 miles closer.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickExcellent food with a great atmosphere and very attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to return in the future.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWhat a buzzing little place. The food was great - I can especially praise the slow cooked pork belly which was so soft and unctious. The service was fab too. A definite place to come back to.
Lewis’s Bistro – GrasmereWe went for a spa day and had afternoon tea. The place is absolutely lovely, we arrived early as we were coming by train for the day. They were doing breakfast for the hotel guests, but found us somewhere to sit and get a coffee and got us some toast and jam. We were in the library for afternoon tea which was set up ready for us when we came out of the spa and the food was really good all freshly made and delicious. We spoke to some other spa guests who had opted for hot food and they commented on how good theirs was as well we will definitely be back again very soon. The services isn’t the fastest but the staff will help anyway they can and are really lovely.
