Three of us had yet another highly enjoyable leisurely lunch - great VFM food and friendly helpful service in the ever pleasant atmosphere.

Lovely food and staff.

Lovely atmosphere. Large portions and food lovely, just a small suggestion- i had the chicken strips to start supposedly with siracha mayo, you need to put more mayo out, just a swirl around the outside of the plate was nowhere near enough esp as I had 4 good sized chicken strips. But oh my goodness the wild garlic and cream sauce with the fish cakes was Devine.

Visited of previous reviews and wasn't let down Service was great and had a nice atmosphere Only thing and its preference was the fat on the chops wasn't cooked until crisp or removed but food was faultless Definitely recommend and return

We came here after getting married earlier in the day, just the two of us. We were greeted by friendly staff who promptly seated us. We were served quickly and all staff we cheery and friendly throughout. We had bread, olives and garlic bread to share as a starter. The garlic bread was soft and you could tell it was homemade. We both ordered the tortelloni, I had it with the mushroom sauce and my husband had the tomato sauce. They were both delicious, so flavourful. Pasta was cooked perfectly. I had a cocktail, which was delicious, and hubby had 2 cokes and altogether it came to £42, which I felt was amazing value for money. 5 stars and would definitely go back

Superb food, wonderful ambience and excellent service.

Pleasant atmosphere with a warm welcome on arrival. A adequate gap after drinks ordering before food order. Courses came to table efficiently with good timing. Cheese chips starter was excellent

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Grasmere. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in the Lakes. Highly recommend!

We came for afternoon tea mid-week; so peaceful! Loved the quirky nature of the place with all the artefacts, family pictures, old photography equipment & original & historical charm! The intro of warm soup to the afternoon tea was a welcome if unexpected addition! Gorgeous scones & endless tea & coffee!

While on holiday in Grasmere we were looking for places to eat in the evening. I don’t think we could have found a better place than Lewis’s.The food was superb and although busy the staff were on the ball and we were served promptly. The atmosphere was lovely. In fact the whole experience was so good we booked again.

What a gem!! We’ve been visiting Grasmere for years and have only recently found the wonderful Lewis’s Bistro! The food was divine and the service was excellent. We will be back! X

Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea - could not believe what you got for the money and really it should have been a lot more than I paid! Beautiful setting, comfortable, amazing food would highly recommend Quiet atmosphere- would have been good to have some background music

Amazing food but we got sat way too close to other people, specially considering that there were other tables free. The decor of the restaurant and atmosphere doesn’t match how good the food is. If those too things had been better it’s worth the money ! Service was good too.

Afternoon tea was fabulous a little different but excellent staff and owner friendly

We had a fantastic meal here this week. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. I also really liked the imaginative options for kids. We felt very welcome. Oo and the chocolate cake pudding was amazing!!
