Best Sunday dinner I've had for a long time. Every component was beautiful seasoned and flavoured. I dont usually like cauliflower cheese but this was a winner!!

Just attended our second Sunday lunch just to make sure the first wasn't a one off. It absolutely was not. The best Sunday roast I've had even my fussy partner agrees. This is now the only place I will be attending for one. Staff very efficient and attentive food 10/10 almost don't want to tell people about this hidden gem.

Booked here for a Sunday lunch, excellent quality food and great service. Definitely book your table I am pleased we did as it was full of people at 12:30.

The food was of good quality and taste. The service was a bit disappointing, the staff seemed inexperienced and we had to ask twice for the wine we had ordered.

We always book at least one night at Lewis's when we stay in Grasmere. The food, the ambience, the owner and her team are first class. We are always made to feel valued guests and the choice of menu is imaginative and cooked to an excellent standard. Thank you for a superb evening and we'll see you again soon.

We love going to The Horse and Farrier whenever we are up in the lakes. The food is always delicious and for our group of 8 that includes all our choices. The service is brilliant and we enjoy the whole place. Thank you once again, we will be back

Visited last Saturday night. A bit disappointed to find some menu items unavailable (presumably sold out) but still a good selection. The food is well cooked, well presented and good value for money and of course being a pub there is a wide choice of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks available. Staff were friendly and cheerful and it’s always nice to see a few dogs in attendance!

05 Aug 25 - We were staying locally and the pub was recommended and did not disappoint. A fab unpretentious pub, good atmosphere, lovely friendly staff, good beers and absolutely stunning food. Booking advisable. The next day we were walking the Ullswater Way and got chatting to a couple from Dockray who said the Horse & Farrier in Dacre was the best pub in the area!

We finally visited here and it was absolutely worth it. It was an extremely busy Friday night but the staff were friendly and helpful (even though they were rushed off their feet). Food was incredible too. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Keswick.

A very nice meal , but we were sitting at the door and its a nightmare because the door dosent close properly. I had to close it lots of times and did ask if we could move tables however none were available. I do remember the last time l visited Mezzaluna , l sat at the same table and the door wouldnt close automatically then. There is a note on the door to close, BUT, people dont always read. Im sure there must be a solution.

Couldn't fault anything this place had to offer. Arrived to a warm welcome, service was amazing. Interaction between staff and our children was nice to see which made our kids laugh, all in all a great place to visit.

Fantastic place service and food amazing. Such a lovely , friendly place.

Amazing food, tapas was so tasty. The pizzas looked lovely too. Definitely will be back.
