Wonderful! Last minute booking as was in this part of Exeter and what a find! Everything was excellent - staff, food and wine - could not fault thank you so much

We had a lovely evening at the Castle Inn, really good pub grub, friendly service and a great atmosphere.

You get a welcome at this Inn. The Landlady is very friendly.

I had my birthday meal here with family and a Sunday Roast. Wonderful portions, the pork was delicious and all the veg was yummy; cabbage carrots and stuffing, cauliflower cheese, roasties and even brisket in the beef yorkshires. We were all very happy with our tasty meals, and with the lovely fire in the bar. We will be back. Thank you

Probably best service I have ever received from the lady serving our table, so attentive and friendly

Had high hopes for this meal but unfortunately it was very poor. We went on a Saturday night and there was zero atmosphere. No music and only one other table booked. No wine list with the waiter declaring he was the wine list. They had a main course of cold meats and bubble squeak which was clearly left overs from their carvery. In hindsight we should have sent it back as it was clearly several days old and the taste was stale and bland. We left most of it. On the plus side the Mussels we had were good and the staff were very friendly. Unfortuantley though I would not recommend.

We had such a lovely evening at The Hourglass celebrating a birthday with seven friends. The food was incredible, beautifully presented and full of flavour, and the service was fantastic. Thank you for looking after us so well and making the evening feel special. Five stars from us!

We come down to Colyford around three times a year. One of our highlights is to book Sunday and Wednesday lunch at The Harbour Inn. Their carvery is one of the best we have ever had. The selection far exceeds any other venue we have attended. We usually have two large dogs with us and these are welcomed into the seating area without question,. We always make sure we bring enough dog treats etc to keep them quiet. The staff are very friendly and obliging nothing is a problem for them, some of them have been there every time we attend.

Had an evening meal . It was lovely. The staff are very friendly and the pub is nice. My one moan is the price of a bottle of wine. I was stupid and ordered 2 bottles of rose ( no wine list to look at the price) asked didn’t have one and was charged £32 per bottle . Bloody disgusting so lesson learnt. Will be having another meal there but no wine !!

After there had been a problem with a voucher that had been bought for us not arriving in the post, Christie and the team went absolutely above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience and the voucher situation was looked after. A lovely meal in a really beautiful location and such a lovely pub – couldn't recommend more! And to top things off, when we asked about where we could oder a cab from, the team just offered to give us a lift back to our hotel!! That's next level service! Would give them higher than 5 if I could!
