Awesome Easter Sunday lunch as ever. Been coming to The Sloop a lot over the years and it never fails to impress. Dealt with my son’s allergies with no question or hassle. Fabulous place.

Excellent meal at the Swan, fabulous warming atmosphere, friendly and v efficient staff during a very busy service! As always, food was fresh, homemade and wonderful.

First visit to pub,although been past many times. What a lovely pub,Sunday roast was gorgeous,pub is great,staff lovely, great service . Highly recommend!

Great food and lovely setting

Very good meal. One of our party was gluten free and had brought his own linguini and there was no problem in cooking it for him to add to one of the sauces. Music a bit too loud though but it was turned down at our request.

I recently had a Sunday birthday lunch with 14 of my friends, we had the most amazing time. The food was very good quality, small criticism, roast potato’s a bit hard, possibly frozen not fresh ?? And I really love my roast spuds so this affected my food / value for money ratings, hopefully they take note. The staff were very efficient, great service and very friendly. The old pub had a great atmosphere both down in the restaurant with its own bar and upstairs in the main bar. We were in no rush to leave and stayed until around 8 in the evening, I would recommend the venue for small groups / parties and will certainly be looking to book again,

The meal was lovely. I have one complaint the potatoes they were not fresh and were frozen which made them very hard, if the potatoes were cooked fresh the meal would of been 10/10

Visited Saturday evening. Had a really nice meal with a lovely bottle of wine. Tasty breads to start, my partner raved about her pizza and I had gnocchi which was excellent. All very reasonably priced and very efficient, attentive service.

Great pub and fantastic food in the restaurant. Nice atmosphere to boot. Can’t really fault it.

Been here many times and always leave very satisfied and happy. Food is excellent with generous portions, sometimes have to take some home. Staff and service always helpful and friendly. The decor is beautiful with a pleasant ambience. Will be going again in the summer.

Excellent lunch yesterday, 4 had the fish and chips which they thought was one of the best f & c that they’d had for a very long time, light batter and very tasty haddock. Prawn baguette was also delicious and the beef burger went down a treat.

Very good food and very good service.
