Visited Saturday evening and what lovely evening we had. Everything was lovely, thanks to the chef for the lovely food and the very lovely staff serving especially the one from Midsummer Norton x nothing to much trouble. Very pleasant experience xx we will definitely have an another visit very soon. Keep the good work up x Could have thought you was sat in restaurant in Italy !!!! Consistently the best pub in Exeter on all fronts.

Fantastic; great place with good atmosphere and amazing Italian food. A restaurant that is run by a big family that give it that special quality which is hard to find. The base of the pizzas is so good and needs to be tried by anyone who knows what a great pizza should taste like. And to finish they make a superb tiramisu!

Excellent service and food and was highly impressed with portion sizes and authenticity! The staff were very helpful and accommodating of our group of 10, so makes a perfect place to celebrate a birthday with family or friends. Will definitely be back!

We had a very enjoyable Saturday evening here with friends. We all enjoyed our choices from the menu and appreciated the attentive, professional service from the cheerful hard working staff. The standard of food was excellent, with everything perfectly cooked.

The food is expensive, I had the chicken it was nice, their signature dish apparently it was delicious but it needs salad. It needs a garnish and there needs to be more of it, my partner had the scampi an awful meal for the price that was paid and to be told but they didn’t even have any slices of lemon to go with a scampi. The place had zero atmosphere inside which is a shame because on the outside it looks a beautiful thatch Cottage pub, the white staff were attentive very polite. It was the only bonus of our visit, and we will not visit again save your money go elsewhere.

Amazing food and amazing service love coming over for a meal

I wanted to visit the hourglass as I hadn't been for a year or so and, as always, it provided a wonderful meal with delightful service in a lovely, intimate setting. They even called ahead of time to see if we wanted to join the pub quiz. Brilliant.

Excellent- bit slow serving but as it was a sunny day just meant we could stay longer to see the view! Fantastic. We are so lucky here in Plymouth.

We like to visit from time to time with our friends and always enjoy the great food, pleasant surroundings and great service. Everyone always has a smile and nothing is too much trouble. If you like Italian definitely one to try

Four of us had a meal on Saturday 2nd May. Lovely food. The team were busy and up against it, but smiling and giving great service. Nothing to fault.

Had a table for four on Sunday 3/5, fabulous food, excellent service reasonable price. Can’t fault it Highly Recommended

A lovely stay at a wonderful pub. What a terrific find. Food was excellent. Great choice and all seemed home made and fresh. Lovely breakfast too. Good options available. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the wonderful staff. Will stay again if in the area. Highly recommended.
