Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthWe visited after seeing the online menu and we were not disappointed. A lot of places offer tapas but not many are authentic but these were and comparable to what we get when we stay with friends in Valencia! We had a nice selection - mainly from the good variety of vegan options, battered courgette, baked aubergine, bravas and salad - my mum also had the chicken. The portions were an appropriate size for tapas and the salsa, mojo verde and aioli were also really nice. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my favourite (usually very hard to come by vegan affogato) was on the menu and mum had churros. All the food was delicious and there were other choices that we were considering but didn't want to overdo it! We had a jug of sangria to share and had a lovely meal. The view was good also despite the weather! Our server was attentive but not to imposing and very polite. Will definitely return!
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthWe received a lovely welcome when we arrived. There was a good range of specials and the service was excellent. A great pub to visit when travelling through the area.
The Poltimore Inn – South MoltonYet another lovely meal and great service. Sea food pasta has an amazing sauce and consists of large prawns and mussels. Steak is always good here. Sad to see creme brulee is not on the main menu any more as it is sublime, it was on a specials menu this time so I was happy. Addition of specials menu is a good step.
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterWe had heard so many good things about the carvery, we decided to try it for ourselves. The carvery deck had lots of choice of vegetables, but then we got to the roast potatoes, or lack of. We were told , there was no more, a roast without potatoes, doesn’t sit right. However, the choice of vegetables was spot on. We would come back again, and hopefully, be able to sample your roasties. Can I please, suggest you , thicken your gravy .
The Harbour Inn – Seatongreat service and the food was amazing. They recently reduced their menu but still have lots of tasty menu items to choose from. We have eaten here several times and its always been a fantastic experience.
The Castle Inn – BarnstapleWe ate here for the first time yesterday as a treat for.my birthday. The food and service were sensational. We shared the beef cheek cottage pie, it was delicious. We just wished we lived closer as would definitely make this our local. Thank you for making my birthday a memorable one xox
The Hour Glass Inn – ExeterWell I can honestly say that I had the nicest fish dish that I can recall last night! Six of us had the hake and we were all so impressed, it was fresh and utterly delicious. The new potatoes and green veg that accompanied the fish were also perfectly cooked. A great atmosphere in the pub as well. Thank you, we’ll be back soon!
The Swan Inn – PlymouthGreat atmosphere, great staff, excellent food and beer
The Swan Inn – PlymouthLovely lunch here Easter Saturday. All the food was delicious with little tweaks such as smoked mash that added to the meal. great atmosphere and service!
The Hour Glass Inn – ExeterVisited for the second time in a month last week and found everything just as good. Proper old fashioned home cooked roast lunch at a great price. Service is great, will definitely be back again.
