The Hour Glass Inn – ExeterFantastic restaurant an absolute gem—cozy, stylish, and welcoming. The food is incredible Service was friendly and spot-on. Perfect for date nights or a chill upscale dinner with friends. Can’t wait to come back—this place is the real deal.
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterSuperb food and service. Great little restaurant.
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterAnother trip to my favourite place to eat in Exeter. This time with 10 work mates for dinner. Service was friendly and professional. The food was excellent and truly faultless. Can’t praise enough.
The Hour Glass Inn – ExeterLove this quirky pub- great people & food. Visit whenever in Exeter- never fails to disappoint; highly recommend.
The Hour Glass Inn – ExeterWhat a little find, We were coming over to Axminster from Guernsey to go and see Francis Rossi from Status Quo at the Guildhall, we had booked a meet and greet which meant that we needed to eat quite early. We had originally booked a late lunch at 1500 but had to cancel due to a possible flight delay so when we eventually arrived, we went straight the Bellino Restaurant and managed to get in for 1700, we ordered a drink each and a Lasagne each with some focaccia Cheesy garlic bread. We both said that it was the best Lasagne we had ever eaten out at a restaurant and the focaccia was so light and very tasty. I had a Pornstar Martini and my husband had a glass of wine, all in all the meal was amazing, the venue was authentic, you would not have realised you were in the middle of Axminster and staff were super efficient and friendly. Our only regret, is that we were in a hurry because of the concert so next time, hopefully we can chill and enjoy our meal without having to rush.
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterWhile staying at the hotel, I ate in the restaurant 3 times. The well apportioned tapas give a wide choice both in the selection and size of the meal. The quality of the food was excellent especially the duck balls with hoisin sauce and there is a wide range of wines / drinks to accompany the meal. Served by a very pleasant hotel manager together with good views over the bay to the sound of the sea if the tide is in.
Upper Deck Bistro – PaigntonGreat food, linguine pescatore and Calzone especially good. Just check your bill, I didn’t notice until the following day I had been charged for beer we hadn’t had
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterWe love coming here as a family. Great atmosphere ,amazing food and friendly staff.
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterWe travel to Somerset every year and have returned to The Poltimore Inn for Sunday lunch each time. It is exceptional, very reasonably priced for such a lovely meal. With the carvery serving three choices of meat and the best roast potatoes for miles, you cant go wrong.. I have no hesitation in recommending The Poltimore Inn as a destination pub for a great eating.
The Poltimore Inn – South MoltonGood carvery, with excellent choices. Service slow and not very attentive.
The Harbour Inn – SeatonWe had a lovely tapas lunch sat outside overlooking the sea this last weekend. We were warmly greeted by the hotel & restaurant manager and made to feel very welcome. The drinks were lovely and well served, my cocktail with fresh mint picked from the herb pots on the terrace, & the food was incredibly fresh & tasty. I particularly enjoyed the duck balls with hoisin sauce & the potatas bravas .. & just what we were after. We will definitely eat here again.
Upper Deck Bistro – PaigntonLovely meal whilst staying at Channel View - portions sizes were perfect: the prawns, crab croquettes, patatas bravas and bread delicious, and the local beer a must-try! Well worth visiting this little gem if you’re in the area. Thanks Peter and Ruth!
Upper Deck Bistro – PaigntonPerfect lunch time meal yesterday. Not our first time here but we should come more often as food, atmosphere and friendly service excellent. Good value for money too and right on our doorstep. What could be better !!!
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterOverall good! We did feel like the should do a lunch time offer, as it can work out quite expensive. However, the view and staff are all lovely. So thanks!
Maritimo Wine & Tapas – PlymouthGreat food & choice of food, fantastic service, great value for money.
Belluno Italian Axminster – AxminsterHello Hour Glass team We had a great experience starting with the really friendly and super competent young man serving at bar on arrival and with meal in dining room where service was good- only minor snag being potatoes served with bit of a delay. Food was excellent, we were all satisfied. Sole was delicious and big portion (sometimes sole can be disappointing- thin, not enough) sauce lovely and side of buttered greens very good. Rump steak folks were happy as were sons with ox cheek pie. We shared x3 mussels ad starter which was nice but not banging- not usual Exe mussel plumpness and sauce I found too creamy … blackberry sorbet incredible flavour the lads were in heaven with chocolate pud. Exeter brewery beers excellent my favourite is Avocet, delicious and good with food. Very enjoyable evening in relaxed dining room, great choice for a celebration with friends. Thank you will be back.
