Booked on 12th May having checked menu on website. Unfortunately the menu had changed by 31st May. Many of the meals that prompted me to book were no longer there. I'm sure there was duck and other country meat/ wild options. Staff were friendly. Meal was decent enough. Although menu had changed to items we would not normally go for.

Would definitely recommend the food was amazing

The waiting staff were lovely and looked after us well. The food was very tasty. My only gripe, amd I think it is quite a serious one, is that we were sat facing the kitchen and I saw numerous kitchen staff eating while preparing food. For the record, they were NOT tasting the food as they prepared it, they were just helping themselves to various things. I don't know the law, but basic hygiene suggests that putting their hands to their mouths whilst preparing our food is not correct. Ssdly, it was most off-putting to see before we ate.

Food is always bang on and the staff are so friendly. Always a lovely place to eat and dead cosy. Always try their best to get food on your table asap even when they are rammed.

This was the first time we have been to this pub read review and online menu. When we wen menu was very limited when food arrived there was very little on the plate very disappointed as still hungry when we left husband made himself something to eat when home will not be going back for food.

We booked a table as I was having lunch with someone in a wheelchair , to make sure we had an suitable table We were seated near the window , but next to the smoothie maker , but there was other tables free but was offered a choice . When we ordered , we actually had to go and ask for someone to come to the table as the waitress was rushed serving others as there seemed to be only her on , although the bartender came to help in the end . This could have been much more smoother especially as it was late afternoon and the pub wasn’t busy . Food came and it was impeccable . The decor is lush and I think we would be back but hope the staff have more help and maybe a bit more attentive .

Amazing food, good choice, lovely quirky place, staff friendly. Good atmosphere.

The breakfast and the spa was amazing.. Breakfast was very nice they was a wide selection of fruits, pastries & a full English with tea and coffee.

The food was superb excellent service the staff were. Very helpful the room was also superb and I will be coming back

Food was lovely staff really nice ! I like also the lay out very much like pub and kitchen and cassop which Is my favourite place. And yes will be back thank you

Been before for evening meal so thought we would try Sunday lunch and we weren't disappointed ... Good Value .. would recommend

I understand the menu was new due to a new chef.food was awful. Chicken main course was so dry had better supermarket meals.service was great, lovely group of girls so obliging . Stayed over previously and had 2 fantastic meals here. Hope it’s down to teething problems with new chef,really put us off eating here again . Was expecting original menu really disappointing

Food tasted nice although when we asked for the pork and apple mash we were served with pork, chips and a tomato. This was very poor from the chef, we would expect them to get thier own menu correct when cooking. We would still visit again as the food was nice just disappointed we did not get what we ordered.

We came for afternoon tea on Sunday for my mother’s 90th birthday and I have to say the service was brilliant, thank you. However, I must be honest and say that I was disappointed with the food, it was nothing like the wonderful sample menu that’s on your website or the photographs other people had posted on line. The ham, tuna and egg sandwiches were very basic, the fruit scone, brownie and coffee cake weren’t very nice at all to be honest, and we weren’t sure what the other two things were or even if they were sweet or savoury which was a bit disconcerting. Overall, the standard was pretty poor in comparison to other places near by. I appreciate that there was a wedding on the same day but that shouldn’t have affected the quality of our food. I think there’s a huge discrepancy between the sample menu, photographs, and what you actually serve and this needs to be rectified so that customers can have realistic expectations.

Our second visit to Gussto, this time on an evening, was great. We ordered 7 dishes, olives, catalana bread, garlic mushrooms, patatas bravas, chorizo, mussels and pork belly. Most were absolutely delicious but I didn't like the bread, it was a bit soggy because of the topping, and will order plain bread next time. The 'belly pork' turned out to be a single pork chop which was disappointing. The rest were lovely, Miguel and the other waiter were really nice and attentive even though they were clearly very busy on a bank holiday Monday evening. We will be back. Thank you.
