Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWe had a very pleasant stay at Hall Garth Hotel staff we very friendly and helpful Could review and give more variety on menu for lunch and dinner breakfast was fine Leisure facilities are good
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonAlways fab food. Even when the limited covid menu was on. Last visit was 14.02.23 and the best yet! We always seem to get the small 2 tables in the back room though and end up chair wars with those behind, but can over look that for the fab service!

Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamThis was my second visit to Gussto. I chanced upon the restaurant a couple of years ago when visiting Durham with my daughter and the food we were served was so good that we were determined to visit again with the whole family. This we did last week and I have to say we were not disappointed. The restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside: a small door next to a broken window and dim lighting but once you enter you are transported to a world of gastronomic delight. The five of us ordered a selection of 12 tapas dishes between us, sampling meat, seafood, vegetables and of course bread and olives. The service was quick and efficient, the dishes all arrived together on a huge tray and every single one of them was excellent. I would particularly recommend the crispy pork belly bites - exquisite. The only small disappointment was the small range of desserts available but, to be honest, none of us really had room for dessert anyway. Safe to say, we will be coming again on our next visit to Durham.
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamWe had evening meal, breakfast and afternoon tea and all were delicious. Great service, staff are all very attentive and friendly. Lovely hotel, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleLovely meal. Very swift , polite and efficient service. We should have had a bottle of wine in our room as part of the deal- this was rectified instantly. Slow cooked beef was very tasty as was the risotto. Nice ambiance in the restaurant. Thoroughly recommend both the restaurant and the hotel.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamAnother great meal at the Farmhouse with great service.

Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamWent for an over night stay and spa and evening meal the food was absolutely delicious the choice is great the notes which gives you the wines that accompany the choice is a good idea the staff where great and also the breakfast was very good also
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleLovely quaint tapas bar located in the centre of Durham city centre. We were definitely satisfied with the quality of food and particularly enjoyed the sangria! However we were pushed to order all our tapas dishes at once, meaning there wasn’t much time to enjoy the restaurant experience. This meant our stay was about 40 minutes long, despite having a table available to us for 2 hours (which we intended on utilising).
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamAmazing service, beautiful food and friendly staff.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWent for afternoon tea, made them aware I had a peanut allergy. They then came out with cakes with nuts on which I also avoid, when I explained that I could not eat it I was told the food was contaminated with nuts. I asked if we could have some other cakes to be told that they had no spare ones in. A bit disappointed
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleWe made a last minute decision to come to Prego. We are on holiday close by. It was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere and the amazing food really made it perfect for my husband's birthday. We had the early bird which is insanely amazing value for money. We also had our daughter with us and the kids menu is fab and priced so well! Would definitely recommend and would return if in the area!
