Lovely Mothers Day Sunday Lunch yesterday. The service was excellent, considering there wasn’t an empty table anywhere in the pub. Our food was amazing, not a single complaint from our table of 10. We loved the little touch of a complimentary glass of fizz for all the Mams on our table. Fabulous food, Fabulous drinks & Fabulous staff who I hope are having a well earned rest today.

Lovely place, was really busy on Saturday evening. Our steaks got given to another table then when they realised they took the steaks off them toon back to kitchen even tho that table had seasoned them, the maitre d then with his hands fluffed up the chips then tried to serve it to us and didn’t see what was the matter with this. You can see the kitchen from our seats. Eventually changed them and we “got fresh ones” but spoilt our whole experience. His attitude was really disappointing, covid might be less talked about but hygiene should always be top priority.

Fantastic atmosphere, amazing food and friendly staff. We really enjoyed our meal here. The food was so tasty and the staff work so hard to make sure people are catered for - would highly recommend. Thank you for a brilliant night :-)

Restaurant was very pleasant. Tables nicely spaced and the room itself well decorated. Waiting staff very friendly and helpful and there was a nice atmosphere. The standard of the food was exceptional and of good proportions. The breakfast selection was very good with somethings cooked to order as requested. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the waiting staff. Fresh pots of tea was served when requested. The afternoon tea was one of the best we have had - not too many sweet cakes but a good balance with savoury fare. The meal we had in the bar was also good with some of the restaurant choices on offer but with also some more traditional 'pub grub'. For bar food we felt prices were a bit high.

Food was good but the service was a bit of a hit and a miss ...nothing too bad but not smooth as it should have been...Staff were pleasant but as said before a bit flaky

Visited for the 3 course for £10 and it did not disappoint, food was delicious and I was so full by the end! Would definitely recommend the pâté starter and the chicken burger! Lovely environment and staff are very polite too.

This place is one of my faves! Nice, spaced out tables in a lovely country style pub setting. They have outstanding prices, definitely on Tuesday & Wed, 3 courses for £10, unbeatable! Their leek & potato soup is the best I’ve ever had, Parmo is nice, not massive but enough and fab home made chips. And the sticky toffee pudding is to die for. Definitely be going back as the service is great too.

Disappointed is an understatement. We had a reservation, table for 6, had to wait for over half an hour as the staff told us they had let ‘walk ins’ use all of the tables. 3 of the meals were mixed grills costing £25 each, all of the meat products were burnt despite asking how we would like the steak. They forgot the onion rings and brought them out later. Lasagne was very dry and burnt. Salmon teriyaki was very bland. Fish and chips were nice. Won’t eat here again.

Our food and rosé sangria was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and we had a fabulous evening. However, we ordered a lot of dishes thinking they’d be brought out as and when they were ready (which is something we’ve experienced at tapas restaurants before), but all the dishes were brought together. This would’ve been fine but some were piping hot and others were barely warm. Also, there was an unusually long time between sitting and ordering drinks, and again before ordering food. Would go again, but would bear this info in mind.
