Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamA fabulous atmosphere gorgeous building. A welcoming attitude right into stepping into the building. Staff very friendly, afternoon tea was delicious. The cakes all tasted individual and all homemade. Very clean. Definitely recommend the place.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleWe were staying in the area & decided this place looked good —-we were not disappointed. The staff were lovely ,attentive & professional. All the food the 4 of us had was amazing .
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamEvening meal was to be a treat. The sea bass was very small. The chips with the steak were rancid .the oil they had been cooked in needed changing .sweet was under cooked pastry. It could have been enhanced with grated orange peel on top.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleBeen a few times now and the food is absoloutley stunning, menu has a wide variety even on the £10 for three courses menu. The portions are huge as well. Staff are so helpful and friendly, always checking to make sure everything is okay, couldn't have faulted a thing! 10/10 can't wait to come back!

Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleWe stayed for 1 night at the Morritt Hotel, our stay included a 3 course meal of which was fantastic, 5 star!!! I had the cauliflower and spinach pakora, my husband had the terrine, both delicious! Mains were seabass and pan fried pork, both very tasty, desserts were very nice too. Could not fault the delicious food for our evening meal and breakfast and the staff working in the restaurant were lovely too. I wish the same could be said about the spa and our room, the food was by far the best thing about our stay at The Morritt

Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonDelicious meal from the TDH menu during our short stay at The Morritt. We were not rushed, and the food came out hot and tasty. On the second night we ordered from the bar menu - which was equally tasty and beautifully presented.

Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamHad a lovely evening meal last night 12.11.22. The staff were lovely and attentive.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleThe restaurant has a cosy traditional atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. Our main waitress, Sarah, could not have been more helpful. In fact, all staff were pleasant and attentive. The food, in terms of quality and presentation, while not cheap, was excellent. We dined on two evenings and both had venison for our main course on the first occasion. The meat was tender and tasty. On the second evening my wife had beef bourgignon and I had the steak. Both were excellent. We started with a drink at the bar. Loved the murals!
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleExcellent service delicious and reasonably priced food . Just the decor is a little tired
