Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleWe like the Italian farmhouse in Coxhoe as the staff are friendly, the food is great and we are never rushed to finish our food. We were there for 3 hours last week meaning we could enjoy dinner and catching up with friends. There is always space to park and the quiz is always great fun on a Sunday evening too. I would thoroughly recommend the italian farmhouse in Coxhoe if you are looking for a night out.
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamWe stayed at the hotel with a last minute booking due to business travel, two of us arrived late in the evening and we managed to get a table in the main restaurant. The starters came and we were delighted at the quality, freshness and also the service received, my colleague had the camembert whilst I had the crispy beef, both were amazing. For mains we had fillet steak, and venison, the quality of the meat and the presentation was first class, I enjoyed every mouthful. Amazing place, amazing food, amazing people, amazing stay!
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleLovely food , lovely staff, nice atmosphere keep up the good work
Farmhouse Dine & Wine – DurhamAmazing food, service & friendly staff.
Gilroy’s Restaurant at The Morritt – Barnard CastleFood included as part of our stay, and although we were ordering off a smaller menu, the food was fantastic. We were advised of specials before hand, I had the slow cooked beef which was melt in your mouth, my wife had chicken stuffed with black pudding and loved every bit of it. All the food was exceptionally presented, the staff were lovely and the restaurant itself was lovely.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamWe had a lovely meal here recently. The waiting staff were amazing and could not do enough for us, especially Laura. The food was perfect and the 3 of us enjoyed everything we had, it isn’t that easy when you are catering for a 3 year old! We had our 5month old with us too and we had a great space to put his pram so that he could nap whilst we ate. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed and the decor makes you feel you are somewhere very sophisticated! Over all it was an exceptional visit and we will be back.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamGreat service and great food. Would definitely Recommend.
Derwent Manor Hotel – DurhamReally tasty food, gorgeous place and lovely staff! I will definitely come back. I can highly recommend the mixed grill
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamHad a lovely meal here! Highly recommend. The food was lovely. Great variety and lovely staff. We will be returning soon! Thank you.
Gussto Tapas Bar – DurhamServed a purpose but was a bit disappointing. Food and drink are very overpriced, no atmosphere and the restaurant was cold. Food tasted ok, but nothing special.
Hall Garth Hotel – DarlingtonWe stayed here as part of a package deal from Wowcher. Our deal included afternoon tea and a two course evening meal. My husband and I were pleased with the quality of food. The evening meal especially. The breakfast was pretty standard but a good deal included within the package. The only compliant would be it’s a little lacking on the atmosphere front. We had afternoon tea and there was no background music so you could hear other people’s conversations etc. we felt the same on the evening. We hoped for pre-dinner drinks but the place seemed to be really lacking in atmosphere and character. The service was great and the waiting staff were so polite and very welcoming and friendly. The overall deal was definitely value for money, though.
