I went for a meal here on Sunday and was pleasantly surprised by the food i had. For my main course i had the The Cartford Inn 8oz beef burger with cheese, the thick cut chips are by far on par with Twelve. And for dessert i had the Crème brulee of the day which was vanilla and yet again was very good. Its the 2nd time i've eaten at this restaurant and i will definitely be returning. Thank you

The Punchbowl Inn must be one of the best places for great pub food in Lancashire. I eat out at least once each week and this is one of those places that serves what I call memorable food. Each time I go I can't wait to go back! Excellent food and excellent value for money - big portions - take your appetite with you. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful.

the food here is excellent, i had a fish chips and peas, all tasted really fresh. a great place to eat for cheap!

Me and my partner are regular visitors to Suda, we have been all round Thailand and can honestly say Suda is on par with some of the best Thai meals we have had. Our favourites dishes which we strongly recommend are the Chicken with Cashewnuts, Red Thai Curry, and the Mixed Starters Combination, which are all very reasonably priced. Our favourite takeaway in Poulton, we will keep returning here time and time again!

An absolute gem of a restaurant. From the moment you walk in the door the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The food easily lives up to the expectations created by the extensive and interesting menu (and that's before you consider the ever changing specials board). Service is attentive without ever being intrusive and the prices are very reasonable. All in all it adds up to a most enjoyable and relaxing evening, no other italian restaurant on the Fylde comes close.

We visit Gennars on a regular basis and are always impressed with the staff and excellent service and great food They also look forward to our visits and giddy company Well done to all keep up the good work

went to the hand and dagger today to treat the wife for her birthday had an excellent meal good value for money wife had baguette,s i had the mixed grill i have eaten in local inns in the area and this is about the best mixed grill going will i eat there again defo and not going to wait for a birthday to go again

As a regular and happy customer I can never understand why people complain about the price of drinks etc when they are clearly stated in the very easy to read menu! I find the prices no different than other restaurants..and the lovely friendly staff are always happy to answer any questions regarding the menu etc! I take my family there regularly and will continue to do so.

Good food and the right price - quick service with a smile - lots of space and range of beer - plus you can have a nice walk along the canal. Worth a visit. Andy B

fantastic food, will go back again and again

I DO NOT recommend this restaurant. I had been to the restaurant twice before and had a really good meal as had two others in the party so we recommended it. Two of the party came over from Southport and another 2 from Preston on our recommendation, so you can imagine how extremely disappointed we all were. I booked for a party of 8 to dine at The Olive Tree on Saturday night, table booked for 8.15p.m. We all seated before 8.15. They knew exactly what time we were arriving and how many of us were in the party as they phoned on Saturday morning to confirm. They were busy but not excessively so. 5 starters were ordered which didn't arrive until 9.00. Then the main courses didn't arrive until gone 10.00, and when we complained about the bad service the waiter immediately started to argue with us and told us there had been a problem in the kitchen. At no time did anyone come and explain the reason for the long delay, had they done so and perhaps offered us a drink or nibbles whilst we were waiting then we would have understood completely - but nothing. Eventually the Manager came out to us (after he was asked for by one of our party), he also came out all defensive then changed tack when he heard our complaints. One of the party's main meal was cold and so it was returned hardly touched. The roast potatoes were awful, it seemed they had been cooked earlier in the day and either kept warm or re-heated. Meals were also muddled up and given to wrong people. By way of apology we were given 10% off the bill - the bill came to just under £200 for 8! The steps on the exit at night are impossible to see which is a Health & Safety problem as somebody could fall and seriously hurt themselves. All in all we will not be returning to this restaurant and will not be recommending it, in fact when asked giving our reasons why.

brilliant restaurant my dad owns it lovely food.

Sorry - it's not a recommendation. My wife and I came for a meal on her birthday yesterday with great expectations. We had been once before and had a beautiful lunch. Yesterday's meal started well with exellent wine and tasty nibbles. The main courses were, however a big let down. My wife had the Duck with blackberry sauce some sort of special potatoes and veg. When it arrived it was luke warm and the Blackberry Sauce was actually blackcurrant jam - oh dear. I had the Chef's Signature Dish, Steak & Oxtail pudding, mashed potatoes, green beans and beetroot in balsamic vinegar. At least this was hot, but the potatoes were a little solid, a little dry and I'd swear they were powder potatoes! Not quite what we expected. The place was full at midweek so it must have developed a good reputation. Maybe we just had an off meal - or two actually.

Excellent meal at Twelve. Even though we attended on a night with a large private party the service was attentive and the food spot on. My bavette of beef with dauphinoise was gorgeous. It is noticable with very good chefs that although the food on the plate doesnt seem a lot, on completion you are just full enough. Twelve gives a real slick metropolitan touch to the Fylde dining scene. Go and eat there.

I ate here a few months ago and the meal was absolutely awful. Service was slow (in fact one couple walked out), the duck pancakes were all stuck together and the dim sum was bland and greasy. A few years back this place was lovely but its seriously gone down hill.

I phoned up to book this restaurant despite reading bad reviews it was close for everyone in our party. The woman asked straight away if we were an under 18s party i said no we were a retirement do. They would only reserve our table for 10 if we left a five pound per head deposit which was not possible. I said we couldn't do this and could we avoid that, we were a retirement do who would not mess them around. The woman was snotty and rude implying that she didn't need our buisness anyway. For this reason, i been put off by her rude manner and not even entered the place but booked elsewhere, if they're that bad mannered on the phone god knows what they're like on a busy evening in the place!
