Baja Mexicali – FarehamGreat variety of food. Unfortunately discovered a hair in the ice cream... Also a bit pricey now, probably won't book again. Service excellent as always.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – PortsmouthFirst-class food and service in a country pub atmosphere.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonHot area steak/scallop/prawn cooking chef not trained properly. Asked twice to do medium rare steak and both time got raw.
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – PortsmouthAlthough not all the variety of food was out like pastas carvery etc I was pleased with all of it my kids loved it aswell will be back for more
Spoon World Buffet and Bar – PortsmouthSince the change in ownership, the Florence has become one of our favourite places. The food is delicious every time we go and just such a lovely place to spend and evening.
The Florence – Southsea10/10 lovely staff and atmosphere amazing food , can't wait for next visit
The Florence – SouthseaFoods ok. Not as good as it used to be… Pub itself is excellent. Staff are great. Bands are awesome
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonStaying in Sway as our grandson is at Southampton uni. So been feeding him up for.the weekend! Booked a carvery for 2pm. Staff sooo lovely. Please pat them.on the back! Food perfect hot and yummy. Had gammon beef pork between us 3. All really yum. Thanks so much. We're from Norfolk and we love a good carvery! Great price too! Thanks again.
The Master Builder – SouthamptonMy family and I have recently moved to the area and we were keen to try out our new local. The Seahorse did not disappoint. The food was delicious and plentiful. The customer service was wonderful. We have now visited twice and will be definite regulars.
The Seahorse – GosportTable was ready on arrival. All meat and veg at the carvery were excellent. Lamb, Gammon, Pork and Beef, roast potatoes, parsnips, cauliflower cheese etc etc all we’re in abundance and beautifully cooked. Incredible value as well! Definitely going back! And the staff were efficient and polite. What more could you want.
The Master Builder – SouthamptonAnother great Sunday lunch. Very friendly as always, and fabulous food. The Chequers has a very relaxed atmosphere, and always very welcoming - thank you.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonHad booked a table, unfortunately our friend's had come down with virus, so we went on own. On arriving where shown to our table which was very cosy, right by the log burner which was blazing away. Our orders where taken promptly, 1 roast Pork and 1 sirloin rib of beef both very generous portions, we didn't have to ask for horseradish or apple sauce, which was a nice touch, obviously our waitress had been trained properly. Only critism was the roast potatoes, too many and just parboiled and then cooked for to short a time, so just didn't have that lovely crispy taste which a roast potatoes should have. I don't think I have been to a pub in years where the chef can cook them properly. Other than that a lovely meal, with lovely service. Will definately visit again.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonPerfect roastie. Yorkies were huge, brisket was tender and we also had pigs in blankets which were lovely too. Only complaint was it was a bit chilly in the bar. Best roastie I’ve had in ages
The Seahorse – GosportAfter a long time in wanting to; and having never booked for Sunday lunch we arrived and were seated as a party of four in the booth. A great warm welcome and attentive service to start for Sunday lunch we had the roasts; desserts and wine for the table followed by tea and coffee. The food was delightful and the Lemon Posset pudding a particular highlight. Having been at the table for 2 hours and having booked this an an extended lunch where we wanted to spend time over lunch and then tea (coffee machine was broken); we were a bit taken aback when a staff member approached the table (when we had not finished our teas or been asked did we want to order anything else). She then uttered the following words which killed the whole experience which had been so good up until then; ‘We will bring you the bill now as the table is needed for the next guests and you have two hours here only’ No ‘would you like to continue at the bar or another area within the pub’ a proper would you like to go now we have finished with you. Have. Spent a fair amount of money on the whole lunch it was not only rude but uncalled for. I appreciate that there may have been a time limits but it wasn’t mentioned on the online booking; not mentioned when we arrived and basically was a sad end to an otherwise positive experience. This is such a simple thing but when people at spending a few hundred pounds for a special occasion that’s been planned for months; I would have hoped for more. Menu was slightly on the pricey side for the mains.
The Florence – SouthseaReally lovely evening, return visit. It's rare to find a pub/restraunt who's quality of food or service doesn't seem to peak or trough. It's seems to be constantly great. We've lived in the forest all our lives and when people ask where's a great place to eat I'm always hesitant to recommend. Apart from The East End Arms!
East End Arms – LymingtonWhat I lovely little place to eat , I keep coming back because it's just so nice . Great atmosphere and great food. The staff are friendly and welcoming what more could you ask for , it's my favourite place to eat .
