We had a wonderful dinner at the East End Arms and, although a long way from our home in Cornwall, we will return when we are in the area again. My husband had beef and ale pie, which was first rate, with plenty of steak and was very tasty. It came with mashed potato which was smooth, with a good texture and a selection of tasty vegetables. He finished with apple crumble, which was large and delicious! I had salmon with bok choi which was excellent, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had ice cream to finish and was able to choose from a good selection of flavours. The drink nenu was comprehensive too. The staff in the bar, restaurant and indeed the hotel, are very friendly and professional and we highly recommend eating and or staying here.

We are now regulars at the East End Arms. The food is always first class and the staff efficient and friendly .....and the dining room is also dog friendly. On our latest meal my wife and I both had the Steak & Ale pie - very tasty and generous pie and mash with first class vegetables. For those of a certain age, do also enjoy looking at all the photos on the walls.

It would be great if you read the comments and improve, as it's not a good value for money if the meat is dry and tough, and others are complaining. It's really important to show you value your customers comments. The music playlist didnt match the environment, it was to ballad driven and not well executed in order to make people feel they were having a good time. More lively music could've been played.

One had Gammon, one had homemade Lasagne and one had the Turkey and Gammon pie - Absolutely delicious! Excellent value for money. Thank you!
