Lovely Sunday lunch, thank you

Don’t live local to Spoon but just had to visit again . Great food so much to choose from covers all kinds of diets . Friendly staff . Very comfortable restaurant . Staff are always keeping dishes topped up . Absolute pleasure to dine there . Definitely be back .

My favourite in the area, I am a local in my 30’s and I’ve been to every pub worth going to and there’s no other quite like it. A true classic pub with a friendly local atmosphere. Great food and great drinks. The aesthetic has a lived in charm and a no fuss approach which is truly refreshing in today’s pub culture!

Absolutely delicious Sunday Roast perfectly cooked and very welcome after a long walk.

I had a lovely meal at the East End Arms on Thursday 6 November. The food and beer were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even brought treats for my dog.

We have been here many times Spring Summer Autumn and Winter always a very warm welcome from all the staff. Food equality and quantity and bloody good value for the money

We didn’t feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our group of four came in at around 7:50 pm on the 4th of November and were rushed to place our order almost immediately. Then, at around 8:40 pm, the staff turned off the music, which instantly changed the atmosphere — it felt more like a canteen than a restaurant. While we were still enjoying our desserts, the waitress came over to ask if she could take the plates away, even though they were clearly still half full. At around 9:15 pm, she brought the bill and told us they would be closing in fifteen minutes. When we mentioned that the website says closing time is 10 pm, she replied that they sometimes close earlier if it’s not busy — apparently 9:30 pm that evening. She also said this information is on the website. We couldn’t find this information anywhere online. It was disappointing, especially as it was my birthday, and we’d hoped for a relaxed evening. The food itself was very good, but the service felt rushed and unwelcoming. Such a shame, as the place has potential, but unfortunately it’s not ideal if you’re looking for a calm, late dinner experience.

Great food, great flavours & always leave feeling full. Great cocktail list and even better deal, 2 for £12.95. Service was friendly. Enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. Small space but was able to enjoy a conversation comfortably. Cosy vibe. As always, will be back again!

Visited for the first time last night, party of 6, everyone really enjoyed the selection of food and it was all very hot, and fresh. We saw it was replenished often, with demand, and there was a lot of variety. Liked the idea of the bottomless drinks, empty plates were removed often. Will definately visit again.

Excellent lunch on a dreary rainy day. Lovely friendly welcome, efficient service and great food. I had the Ham Hock Autumn special which came with creamy mustard mash and a nice dish of perfectly cooked vegetables. Mum had the Steak & Ale Pie. Both dishes nicely presented and delicious. Thanks to the team!!!

Three of us had the Sunday roast. Good portion with friendly service. Pub was quiet when we arrived around 4:30 but quickly filled up. Great bit of humour on door to Gents loo - you have to experience it in person!

Such an amazing and beautiful place, my partner and I wanted to try out roasts in Portsmouth but we haven’t looked any further since finding The Florence Arms, the servers are lovely and the food is incredible! Look forward to going back there very soon!

Once again great food in a really cool restaurant. Staff were great, the range of dishes is top and it never disappoints. The only place you can get a Mango soda in the UK!
