Food was lovely especially the pie. There was 8 of us but food came out quickly and was piping hot. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Very friendly village pub. Had an enjoyable evening here with a friend

Had a pleasant early evening meal on Saturday. It's a friendly 'locals' pub but they are reasonably tolerant of grockles. Food was good 'home cooked' fare but the menu could do with paring down. Sometimes too much choice isn't a good thing and it comes at a cost of really good quality cooking. Prices were also very steep. I would expect to pay £19 for a medium sized lamb shank at home in London but not down here. Worth a visit though.

The best tomato soup I’ve ever had and fabulous nut roast too but the staff and the atmosphere in this pub were the real star. Friendly, welcoming and reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you

Enjoyed a lovely roast dinner at The Platform Tavern on Sunday 6th October. Our table had been reserved, the waitress was amazing, friendly and efficient. I had the roast beef which was delicious and my son had roast lamb which was also delicious. Good value for money, did not have to wait long for our meals. A really nice touch was having live music which made the atmosphere very enjoyable. Thanks to the Chef and the lovely waitress.

Food was nice, good selection of dishes. Very busy as it was a weekend so abit of a fight at times to get to what you wanted. Was very disappointed that other tables had their children's birthdays acknowledged but my son didn't even after putting it on booking and asking at the resturant. Can't say I would visit again

First time at Spoons, family of 4. Fantastic variety of options. Staff were pleasant and great value for money! All of us had a wonderful time at Portsmouth Spoons.

Not impressed at all. Pizza station was one dry cheese pizza. Roast pork was salty and dry. Chinese beef dish was inedible. After visiting cosmos, I was very disappointed. Will not visit again.

Great food and great service. Being as it was a Tuesday night it was a bit quiet in there + last food orders were at 8pm. I'll definitely go back though...

A roast dinner is my all time favourite meal, so you can believe me when I say I have tried them in various restaurants and the one at Platform Tavern ALWAYS WINS!!! It's a good price, the service is always friendly and welcoming and the food just melts in your mouth! It is SO GOOD! Now the winter is setting in, you totally need to get down there and enjoy a yummy roast...as long as you don't make them booked up so I can still go :)

Honestly my new favourite place to be! Only been twice and feels so comfortable, amazing atmosphere and lovely staff who are so attentive and food is delicious! Music is surreal!

Always good food here. Also they cater for celiac’s, as my wife and daughter need gluten free options. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good size car park, and tables both in the bar and restaurant area.

Excellent food with something to suit everyone. Allergens clearly marked. Plates taken away quickly and staff were lovely and helpful.
