Literally the best Sunday Roast I have had in years. Couldn’t fault a thing with it. Only suggestion would be offer a large one as could have eaten more beef. We will be back

Excellent Sunday Lunch, I had the Chicken and the wife had the Pork, shared a starter which was excellent. Good range of drinks and service was with a smile by the staff. Too full for a pudding and needed a decent walk afterwards, excellent all round.

Great service plenty of food Sunday dinner was lovely.

I don't usually write reviews but feel this restruant deservers a good review from the moment you go in and are meet by the manager who has a great understanding of the situation and will know if you can be seated or your wait time. A young and experienced staff are attentive and knowledgeable. The food is well presented and the hard working chefs maintain a very good standard. Difficult to highlight any below average area, so we'll with a visit and you will agree.

We throughly enjoyed our meal, the food was delicious and the service was good. The restaurant is beautiful and there was a nice atmosphere. We had the Sunday menu and can’t wait to try the tapas next time

Nice old pub, we were made welcome in the bar along with our dog. Plenty meat options on the menu but limited vegetarian options. The fennel Al Forno sounded a little different and it was but unfortunately a little too salty and quite a small portion, it didn't fill me up and I don't have a big appetite. I'm not too sure the desert price on the menu matched the price on the bill. My partner was reasonably happy with his Sunday roast dinner and I'm sure we will visit again, we love old pubs like the Shepherds Rest and like to do our bit to keep them going.

I’ve been here before but my partner hasn’t. I booked a table and we had such a lovely time. We were in the bar area but I didn’t request / mention a window seat in the booking. However, it was an absolutely lovely experience. The staff and food were lovely and the staff were very attentive. We will be going back.

This is now our favourite restaurant. Faultless food, staff, service, atmosphere and surroundings. It doesn’t matter what you eat. It’s all fantastic.

My wife and I eat here at least once a week … The food choice is excellent, the atmosphere is excellent but most importantly the staff are second to none, they are all lovely people. This is our best dining experience anywhere and we will continue to come week after week..

Brilliant food, we had the early bird special, and there was plenty of choice, the food was cooked to perfection, and plenty of it with lovely steamed veggies. Definitely recommend giving it a try.

Excellent food and lovely atmosphere, requests for slight alterations to food done well. Cleanliness excellent, given the cafe is next to a nursery there was a lot of young mums and children, the children obviously dropped food on the floor but it was clear they were welcome by the staff.
