Brizola Bar & Grill – Clitheroe5 star!
Brizola Bar & Grill – ClitheroeReally tasty food and good sized portions. Never disappoints.
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallI have never been to Verdes before but always heard good reviews. Unfortunately we was disappointed and thought the drinks were very over priced. I had steak just with Salad as I have a strict diet .i asked for the steak medium but it was medium/ well done so it was very dry . My friend was disappointed with her steak too . . The service was very good and it’s a lovely restaurant.
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyAmazing - Food, Wine, Service, Atmosphere
Toms Table – ClitheroeAbsolutely fantastic food, as always, service was again top notch, love being downstairs so we can people watch. Brilliant! P.S. excellent value for money, try the Bruschetta special starter if it’s on.
Brizola Bar & Grill – ClitheroeEnjoyed a nice birthday meal with my son. Good food, nice service and lovely restaurant. Would recommend and will be returning
Verdes Restaurant – ChorleyHave had lunch at South planks a few times now. Always delicious food, generous portions in a lovely homely atmosphere.
Planks Kitchen – PrestonUnfortunately, it gives me no pleasure to write this review, as this is a place we used to eat at regularly. We have eaten here for many years, but it has been steadily declining in the last couple of years or so. We ate there last Thursday and it has dropped to a level, that means we will no longer be returning. Firstly, our starter (both ribs) came out lukewarm at best. We sent these back, only for them to come back from the kitchen within a few minutes. The portion was smaller this time and I am pretty sure the original dishes had just been microwaved. Nobody came to ask if the replacement dishes were ok. On to the mains. The dough in my pizza was not cooked properly. My wife was served a steak, swimming in sauce, that was not cooked as she requested. We would have raised an issue, but nobody came to ask how the food was. Considering we had sent the starters back, you would think someone would have at least paid some attention. We had two drinks, but had to ask for the second. Unsurprisingly given the lack of attention to detail, nobody approached us regarding drinks. We did not have a pudding, as we were not even offered a menu. Not that we would have ordered any more food anyway, given the previous courses.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkFirst class service. Food was excellent, will definitely be back!
The Whitchaff Inn – RawtenstallNo good for couples wanting a quiet meal, they cram everyone in, put tables of 2 next to large parties of 6+, end up not being able to hear each other talking due to the party on the table next to us, also it was that crammed people were banging into the chairs when walking past including the staff. The food was ok the carbonara was dry no sauce and ribs full fat no meat on them, rest of the food was ok.
Papa Luigis – ChorleyHad the Sunday roast and it was delicious , service was good and had a lovely atmosphere will definitely be returning
The Whitchaff Inn – Rawtenstallthe sunday breast of chicken was very good
Bread and Butter – PrestonFood was great. Service with Olivia was excellent and made the whole night special for my wife’s 40th. Special thanks to Liv who was attentive polite and helpful.
Quattro’s – OrmskirkTook my mum and dad for the first time for mum's birthday. Food and service were excellent
Quattro’s – OrmskirkBy far , the best roast dinner I have ever been served in any pub or restaurant . Can't wait to book again and try a different plate...my friend and I both went for the Brisket of Beef ...looking forward to the chicken or lamb options
Bread and Butter – PrestonFood was good hot and fresh. It was busy but the staff were quick and helpful. Prices were too high especially for soft drinks
Papa Luigis – ChorleyTo be totally honest, this time it was just OK. Our table was unfortunately in the back family room - right in the middle of all the family tables - not ideal when there's just 2 of you - but it was a busy time so we had little option. 5pm and no Sunday roast or even the substitute left - so opted for the gammon which is usually fab, but this time it was just OK. Felt a bit like it had been made in a rush. Honeycomb Tiramisu was delish as usual, but portion-wise was definitely smaller. As I said, just OK on this occasion.
