Celebrated my birthday with lunch at Toms Table. The food was exceptional. Everything perfectly cooked, presented and delivered. So lucky to have this restaurant on our doorstep.

We were greeted by a member of staff who told us to sit at table 16, my party and I had no prior knowledge of their seating system, and were told to sit on that “table in the corner”. We told to order at the bar which we were content with, however, when I went up to order for my friends and I, the service was appalling, the man serving me was completely uninterested in what I was saying, he was continually engaging in what seemed like gossip with his fellow coworker, while a paying customer was stood right in front of him. I was not told whether I needed to wait for my drinks or not so I decided to wait, while this occurred, my server continued his gossip session, at which point I interrupted to ask for my receipt, which seemed like an inconvenience to him. I sat and then the food came out which is where things took a turn. My friends gluten free fish and chips was fine, my other friend and I order the same meal of Pork Belly, one meal was smaller and had a portion of crackling, one looked like a plimsole with no crackling and no flavour. The “seasonal veg” served was clearly from a freezer bag, and overall the food was bad. This could’ve been amended with one simple thing, a check back, yet nothing of the sort occurred. The staff seemed more concerned with gathering behind the bar to sample their ice cream and talk to one another, no one acknowledged us as we left, I will not be returning. For an £82 spend, the service at McDonalds would’ve been a much better choice for a Good Friday meal. The music playlist was enjoyable.

Lovely night, with gorgeous food, and a very very nice waitress. Very polite, very helpful.

We had a fabulous meal on Good Friday. 7 of us booked for after our walk up to Studley Pike. It took so long for our meal to come (we had been warned that it would be a wait, but it was over twice the time). The waitress serving us was really apologeti, gave us a free round and kept us updated. If she hadn’t been so efficient and helpful, we may have left. The food was more than worth the wait. Cheese and onion pie was probably the best I’ve had, their chips are epic and along with the mushy peas I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. The others enjoyed the steak pie and gammon with egg. Deserts didn’t live up to the mains, too sweet and not great. We will definitely be back, I didn’t realise you can pre order which we will certainly do.

Fab tasty food - fab staff - fab place.

Tried for the first time with a friend last night. We both loved it , I'm already planning my next visit with the other half. Such good value for money. We did the evening set menu, the food was delicious everything was so tasty. Highly recommended this place ! I've got my eye on the mezze boxes to have at home.

Lunch on a Saturday . Everything was delicious and well cooked . A variety of dishes - duck salad/ duck risotto/ broccoli and mushroom risotto and lamb . Plus a side . Will certainly go again . Well made coffee to finish

Went for lunch and food was delicious. We had feta chicken salad and spiced lamb sandwich would recommend both. Been here many times and one of the nicest places to eat.

Visited here on recommendation, over an hours drive, great location , staff attentive , we booked a table had to wait 45 mins for food , but was worth the wait , so good , fresh ingredients, very hot , Will be visiting again to try the Sunday lunch

Excellent family meal . Attentive staff and lovely atmosphere . Food was excellent and plenty of it . We have been at lunch time , early tea time and for evening meals with different mix of people and all visits have been really good

Super lunch - a fantastic choice available from the menu. Our food was beautifully presented and tasted totally delicious. Such a lovely friendly & helpful team and great value for money.

Site is our favourite place to get together with family. The staff are always welcoming and clearly enjoy their role. Had the special pizza, chargrilled Hawaiian with chilli honey, it was delicious. Highly recommend a visit.
