Had a fabulous meal at the lunesdale last evening (Sunday). A lovely welcome and a really pleasant atmosphere. We received great friendly and helpful service. The cost was really reasonable too. Very good value. This was my first visit but will definitely go again. Well worth it!

Took my 95 year old Auntie out for Sunday lunch. The food was fantastic and the staff really helpful and friendly couldn’t do enough for us.

A 5star meal Natchos are a must to try. Lovely please t staff Will be returning.

Great food best in the area

Only the second time we've been but everything about the experience was excellent. Polite and friendly service, food was very tasty, all reasonably priced as well.

A really friendly welcome, good choice of drinks and the staff did really well to remember what they had. Told us very early if dishes were running low and very quick service. The meals were very generous in size and lovely and fresh.

We came to the shepherds rest Inn on Friday your first year birthday/anniversary. Both me and my wife really enjoyed our meals, I had the shepherds pie, which was fantastic and my wife had the halloumi burger which she said was nice too. The staff were very polite and professional. Would highly recommend going and we will be going again and again. I didn't take the free drink as i was driving, maybe next time though!

Five of us had the bottomless brunch for 90 minutes. £35 each for a choice of food and spirits, wine, beer, cocktails. Great atmosphere and the food was lovely. The staff were very friendly and attentive. It is definitely value for money.

Food was excellent as usual especially the bread and butter pudding. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

We went to the rock with our friends, the staff were very polite and cheerful, we had starters , my wife order prawn saganaki, which was amazing, I ordered the honey glazed blackpudding, also really tasty, friends ordered the squid, again very tasty, we ordered pasta, the della cas was very tasty, the other pasta dishes were also very tasty, my friend ordered the pizza, would recommend the rock for a meal out, very tasty and prices are very reasonable, the landlady was very welcoming, she also said next month they will be putting my favourite back on the menu steak pudding,

Fabulous food, we both really enjoyed our starters and mains, no room for dessert! Best food we have had in the area, staff very helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. Cannot recommend highly enough, we will be back!

A friend treated me to a meal at The Rock on my birthday last Thursday. I have to have gluten free. I had a lovely risotto with added chicken. Very tasty and filling. Staff were fantastic, polite and helpful. I even got to meet the chef too. So friendly and cheerful. I told my friend that I’d had one of the best birthdays ever. We both said we would definitely return to The Rock. Lovely staff and owners. Great atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Make a booking you won’t be disappointed!
