Amico Mio – Clitheroegood food good drinks good prices
Hollywood Star – BurnleyIn my opinion, this is the best restaurant in the local area. The food is exceptional - I have been many times and have ordered many different dishes and have fully enjoyed every single one of them. The service is fantastic - quick, friendly and courteous. The prices are slightly on the high side but it is worth every penny and they offer a 20% discount if you are collecting a takeaway. Simply the best!
Golden Dragon – LancasterI have visited this restaurant on a few occasions now. One was for a friends birthday party and the others were with a couple of friends. The service on all my visits has been very good, especially for the birthday party where they gave us balloons and a birthday cake. The food is delicious (I recommend the paella) and the decor of the restaurant is exactly to my tastes. A meal here is a very enjoyable experience.
Crows – LancasterI recently visited this restaurant with a party of over 20 people. The friendly restaurant manager welcomed us personally and made sure our meal was a very enjoyable experience. The service was exceptionally quick for a party of this size and the food was very tasty. Highly recommended!
Bella Italia – LancasterWe go to Alfredos every week after trying nearly every restaurant in Morecambe and Lancaster this has to be the best yet. The service is excellent, the food portions are more than generous and its affordable. It has a great atmosphere perfect for any occasion I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough
Saffron Indian Restaurant – MorecambeThis lovely bar with mezzanine has turned around the fortunes of those of us that want a bit of chilled out space in town. The couple who run it are great, the staff are friendly and the choice of drinks really good. Tim makes all his own shots, the chilli one being the best. Food is good, even for veggies and there is rumour of great value organic wines on the menu for Spring. Check out the comedy night once a month for some top laughs too.
Artisan Cafe Bar – RawtenstallThe Parkers Arms has recently been taken over by the same people who own and run Weezo's. Using local suppliers they provide fantastic hearty pub food supported by an exquisite wine list. I would strongly recommend a visit to this little gem of a pub nestled in one of the most scenic areas of England. With open roaring fires in the winter and cooler months, it is the ideal place to relax after enjoying the many varied walks around the local area. Or even if you just want a run out in the car, where better to go.
Parkers Arms – ClitheroeHave you ever wondered what happened to those wonderful country pubs with little intimate rooms and roaring fires. Never despair the Greyhound Halton has retained this ambience You can enjoy a wonderful meal for two in peaceful solitude or have a room for a family celebration and yet still be part of the wonderful crack at the bar.
The Greyhound – Lancastermy dad comes here a lot and loves it he thinks its the best place he ever been
Tempest Arms – BurnleyThis place has an amazing chef - i had the best curry of my life - I am going to get addicted to this place. The service is outstanding and the staff are very polite and friendly. i would definitely recommend this place for a take out. What a delicious experience I had.
Shahi Tandoori – PrestonWhat a great little place, not been for years and it appears to have recently been refurbed. Fantastic food, not just your typical italian fayre, I had spicy pork and it was excellent my partner had duck pancakes which were very tasty. Good wine list and fantastic friendly service, well worth a visit.
Pinocchios – PrestonA great restaurant! Something you would expect in a big city. for todmorden.. dine for your self. Trendy and very contemporary. Immediately you can tell they have a passion for food. well worth a visit.
Vedas – TodmordenWe have eaten here a few times over the past 2 years and have never been disappointed. I would highly recommend the hunters chicken. The only downside is there is not a lot of choice for vegetarians.
Walton Fox – PrestonWe eat here nearly every weekend (mainly via takeaway) and we have never been disappointed. The salt and pepper chicken wings are a regular feature as are the salt and pepper mushrooms which are to die for. One of our party likes to go for chicken and mushroom in black pepper sauce which is really tasty. The chow mien is also very flavoursome. The restaurant is very cosy with only a few tables but I think that this adds to it's charm.
Fresco Fresco – Leyland****UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT**** Closing for refurbishments, to be re-opened MARCH 19th 2007
The Halfway House – ChorleyI've been meaning to write a review for this for a long time, but never found the time. This is a brilliant restaurant. The food is so fresh and creative and want you ask for more. I has duck for starters and pork for main course. DELICIOUS!!. I think most of the ingredients are locally produced. It is quite a novelle cuisine kind of restaurant, you only get small portions. But would definitely recommend this to anyone. The food is of very high standard. Its quite pricy, but why not! its worth every penny.
