My partner and I came here for dinner for my birthday and we absolutely loved it. The staff were all really friendly and kind, the pub is one of the few truly traditional country pubs left in Cumbria, with a lovely atmosphere - this was our second time visiting and both times we didn't want to leave! We will definitely be back soon :)

We were thrilled with the presentation of our delicious food and the cooking on that note was off the scale. All round delicious. Of particular note were the puddings. Service was friendly, well timed, attentive and yet discrete, perfect.
