Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeOutstanding food, superb service, sat by the river what’s not to love! The food was exceptional - fully recommended ❤️
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeWhat a great place and what lovely people working there. We were a party of 5 people in for dinner on a Friday night. The selection and quality of the food was super. The flavours Suree get's into her food is incredible. Every one of the 5 people in our group said the same and as you know it's always hard to please everyone let alone get them so excited about the experience. Well done and thank you for the great food.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeOverall a relatively positive experience, however the 16hr brisket wasn’t what was expected in the slightest, and was only lukewarm, the deserts were an overly priced and poor quality. One waitress was very unapproachable- creating a negative atmosphere
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordThe food was very good and portion sizes plentiful. The service was good and there’s a nice terrace overlooking the river. One blot on the copy book was the bill was wrong and when my wife visited recently the bill was wrong that night too. But apart from that we had a pleasant evening.
The Elephant Crossing – IronbridgeFirstly the food we had was lovely and I would definitely eat here again but probably not on a busy night. Music started on the evening we were there which was great for the atmosphere. Desserts were sparse as they had only 3 options left after two had ran out which was frustrating. The service wasn’t great. One of the ladies who served us was really nice and the other was really unhappy looking and just slammed our drinks down on the table and walked off rather than passing them out. A lot of what we asked for took some time which would have been fine if all the wait staff were as polite and hospitable as the First Lady who served us. I unfortunately won’t be rushing back but may try again on a quieter time.
The Swan At Ironbridge – TelfordThe service was good and the food was delicious and hot on arrival.
The Malthouse – TelfordWe went on a Tuesday early evening, pre-quiz. Lovely welcome, friendly staff. My son had a starter of the chicken wings and the garlic flat bread. The wings were thoroughly enjoyed but the flat bread was tiny, and cold. It came with what was named beetroot houmous - it tasted of beetroot at first bite then absolutely nothing, so quite unpleasant. Unfortunately they had no regular houmous to replace it with. We mentioned it in passing and it was nice to see at the end that it had been removed from the bill. For mains, my son had the burger and onion rings; the onion rings were stone cold and were replaced. (Made me wonder how long a deep-fried anything had to sit around for to get cold, not a brilliant thought). The replacements were bloody nice, very well done. He enjoyed the burger and fries, but he was left looking hungry so portions could’ve been slightly larger by the looks of it. I had the filet mignion as a treat. As a steak it was absolutely fine; a fillet it was not. There’s a world of difference between a fillet and the steaks ‘below’ it; the grain is so compacted it’s almost not visible. You could have driven a bus through these and connective tissue isn’t present in a fillet - it was a nice piece of rump at best. Didn’t say anything - that feeling when you’ve already had to mention things and you’re starting to feel like you’re casting a damper on the evening..? Our friends’ meals were nice enough - I think - they didn’t remark either way; they had the share board - so the same houmous and had to leave it. Portion sizes were small. I felt there was a distinct disinclination to give. The sauces brought out on request were scrapings of condiments in tiny little paper pots, which really surprised me as they completely clashed with the presentation they seemed intent on pursuing with the slates and skillets. I haven’t been in to a McDonald’s for a very long time, but it was the exact same paper pots we’d get the kids’ ketchup in. The one thing which got to me was the ‘in your face’ very loud electronic door bell noise - presumably alerting waiting staff to pick up every time an order was ready to go. Now that was nasty. In a massively busy, noisy environment I can imagine this going somewhat unnoticed - this wasn’t that. Would we go back? Only if friend of ours wanted to and there was a quiz on; we’d go with the flow. Staff were lovely.
The Last Inn – NewportI had the sirloin steak it was cooked to perfection and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My friends had the ham and mushroom tagliatelle which they both enjoyed. Staff very helpful. We have been to the water rat before and never had a bad experience.
Water Rat – IronbridgeClearly management are not using this customer feedback platform to improve their open plan kitchen / passover. We too had an identical experience to diners awful experience of hotdogs prep and service spoke to manager about the dirty tea towels saucepans and tupper ware containers on the passover they refunded a bowl of chips ( which we had to remind them to bring) Management if you are paying for this feedback service please use it .
The Smokey Cow – TelfordVery nice welcome, we had previously booked but never eaten here before. As soon as we were seated, our host took our drink orders. Nothing was too much trouble and extremely prompt service. Food was great from start to finish. We all will definitely return. Thank you
The White Hart – IronbridgeReally lovely venue, pretty and quaint. Warm and cosy atmosphere. Pre booked Easter Sunday lunch, two young girls on waitressing who were pleasant but very distracted by each other and their phones, no one noticed we were waiting to order our drinks, thankfully and older team member came and saw us waiting and took our order and our food order. Food was fast and really delicious. It was served lovely and hot and well presented.
Water Rat – IronbridgeExcellent food and brilliant atmosphere and service. We asked for special “kids” portions for our kids and it was no trouble at all. The food quality and presentation was outstanding. It is a little on the pricey side, but if you want to enjoy top notch Thai food in a great little venue then you won’t find much better.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeFish and chip night
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyAll the choices were super delicious and good portions. Fresh ingredients and great spices. We really enjoyed the Tom Yum Soup and the fried chicken particularly. The desserts are spectacular. Staff are very helpful and swift. A great night out and good value. Will certainly go again and again.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeGood food, great service
Water Rat – IronbridgeReally nice place for an early evening meal. £17 menu great value and lovely food all round (except would agree with other review it would be better to have something other than standard prepack pitta with the hummus as a bit dry/ dull but minor point). Staff are really helpful and friendly/professional, and nice beers. Will be back.
