Good selection on the menu. Service excellent. Price fair for the quality. All dishes chosen were good, but needed a little more sauce on the pasta.

Went for Sunday lunch and had roast beef which was excellent. We did have a starter of chorizo bits which I wasn’t too keen on. They should have been crispy in my opinion. Other than that it was a good Sunday lunch

Went on Sunday 9/7/23 , don't normally bother with reviews but felt this worth it . Good: 1. Staff very good , polite etc Bad: 1. One staff member had very bad hygiene which wasn't helped by the breeze blowing through ( sorry but being honest) . It is not nice when you are about to order food . 2. Meals were average at best , the 'chunky chips' with the fish looked nice but were under cooked. 3. The roast was ok but the roast potatoes were again under cooked 4. There is a service charge of 10% added to your bill , I paid this as i didn't see it until i had left . I do feel in an establishment such as this it should be either pointed out or not on there. Honestly the place is nice but i wouldn't go there again sorry.

As always, delightful staff make it a pleasure to eat at the Water Rat. Good food, lovely atmosphere.

Amazing food and location, but the service was very slow and not very attentive even for a third filled restaurant.

Have been going to the Bull to dine ever since we moved into the local area (Upton Magna). It has a super family friendly restaurant with great staff and food too. Whenever time pushes us to miss a Sunday dinner at home we always end up at the Bull (if there's room).

After reading the reviews, I thought we would be in for a good evening but alas that was not the case. Although we were warned there would be a delay on our food due to a large party, it took just over an hour to get ours. Having said that when it did finally arrive, the food was good, albeit the fries were luke warm. I also thought it was quite expensive for what we got. However, the staff were quite attentive during our wait offering to replenish drinks. Because of the other party, the noise level was very loud and you couldn't hear what our party were trying to say to each other. The chairs were also very uncomfortable. All in all, not a great night and we won't be returning.

Great food lovely people who go out of their way to help. Really good experience would visit again and recommend. Would suggest having sauces on the table you see commonly at smoke houses. This would really make a difference

Had a lovely meal at the Bull on Wednesday night, it was a last minute decision but very glad that we did. The meal was extremely good in both quality and value. We will return for another meal very soon l.

Spot on! Top mixed grill, service was great, nice clean restaurant. Will be back again soon.

No Sunday dinner available. We had a wrong order taker and we had a little baby so food come out at different times. The baby changing facilities were dirty. No bin to depose of anything. Will not be returning.

We tried this place for the first time yesterday and we're really looking forward to it as Google reviews looked promising! We both had a pork roast dinner. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as other places we've been. The veg was hard, I think we both had only one or two florets of cauliflower cheese and the pork was sparse! On the menu, it said the pork came with crackling, sausage, stuffing. So we both presumed there would be a sausage on the plate as well (as there was a comma between the items listed). I asked and they said it was in the stuffing but the menu read as if it was an individual item. This should maybe be changed. Also, my partner has to ask for the crackling. To top it off (I know this was just unfortunate) but there was a dead daddy long legs inside my yorkshire pud!!! Which you had to pay £2.50 extra for!! It was replaced but still. Really sad to say but we won't be returning. We'd normally stay somewhere for a pudding but we just didn't feel the main was good enough to warrant spending extra money on dessert too!

Absolutely lovely food. Very busy so food too awhile however service was great throughout. Apologetic and offered free drinks for the wait. Cant fault the staff, such a lovely place with wonderful staff. And honestly amazing food!!!

I have such mixed feelings about The Malthouse. The staff seem to be inexperienced and the level of service received has never been that great. On two occasions have visited on a Sunday, told there are no roast dinners left and then watched another table arrive later, presented with a Sunday menu and then served a Sunday dinner. The only saving grace with the place is the quality of the food, it is actually really good. The steaks are delicious, cooked to perfection. If the level of service was upped, I wouldn’t ever think twice about coming here again.

I’m a tough critic, but I love that I stumbled across this place! Been here a couple of times now but I need to leave a review because the last time we came we weren’t exactly the easiest of guests… let me explain. My grandparents can’t eat a lot due to health reasons and I know sometimes restaurants / pubs are funny about adults ordering off the kids menu. The Last Inn and their staff accommodated our party so well and made my grandparents feel normal. My Nan actually suffers with high anxiety and struggles to get out the house, but the team gave us a quiet table in one of the booths away from a large party which was kind. We also had the dog with us and they’re so good with dogs here and yet the restaurant is kept so clean and has lovely decor. It’s not for everyone, but we asked if it was okay if my little Cockapoo sat in the booth next to us (on her blanket) and the lady serving us said of course. To top off the whole experience, the food was exceptional. Best we’ve had for a long long time. Thank you, we will definitely be back (if you’ll have us!) x
