The Malthouse – TelfordLovely staff and lovely pie and very tasty.
The Golden Ball Inn – TelfordI have been to the Water Rat many times over the last few years and it is still one of my favourite places to eat. The actual place is nice, its location, service and decor is very good. I like the choices of food and that you are happy for me to order off the Childrens Menu if needed- this is a real bonus, so many places refuse to let adults have a child portion meal. one thing I have often though is that maybe restaurants should rename the childrens food options to Smaller Meals, or Lighter Appetites, this would then enable anyone to order what portion they want . There is no logic in restricting adults to adult portions nor children to children portions, we all have differing appetites as we age# So Well done to the Water Rat for at least accepting I can order from the Childrens Menu.
Water Rat – IronbridgeNew Year’s Day lunch Needed heating as radiator not working. Fan eater helped and place warmed up as more people arrived. Service a bit slow about 3/4 hour Meal very good except the Thai curry that we asked to add chicken as per menu was two pieces of breast meat just added on the plate, not curried or anything. . Curry part nice flavour though. Hostess and staff very welcoming and atmosphere friendly. Fish and chips/ veggie kebabs and burger meals excellent.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyI had the sirloin steak at Ribeye, served with fries, mushrooms, and tomatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender, and full of flavour, with crisp fries and nicely balanced sides. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, making it an enjoyable place to sit and enjoy a proper steak. Overall, a satisfying meal in a great setting and the chef very handsome.
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyNew Year’s Eve at Surees was perfection - great banter, exquisite food and super service. We love it here and can’t wait for next time!
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeThe food was lovely, the staff were amazing so welcoming and helpful! Will return definitely. We ate there Christmas eve !
The Gate – ShrewsburyStunning venue with great food and a fantastic service. We will come again
The Queens Head – OswestryFantastic location and vibe ! Amazing service and the food was top notch The scotch egg off the grazing menu was divine And our rib eyes with beef dripping chips was sublime We will be back
Ribeye Shrewsbury – ShrewsburyWe were very surprised that there was a table free on New Years Eve especially as we were late booking.Very welcoming staff, pleasant and very efficient. The food was exceptional, thank you for a lovely meal.Highly recommended you pay a visit..
The Queens Head – OswestryWe have been customers of Suree’s for many years we know her from the previous place when she was at King and Thai in Broseley where I bought her cooking book. She consistently creates delicious, fresh food that is presented well. The staff is very attentive friendly and polite and very quick, maybe too quick ;-) But not overpowering. We love this homely place an we will continue to visit Surees Kitchen as long as she will be open.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeFab food, friendly prompt service and buzzy atmosphere. Loved it! Enjoyed the hot soup (kills all known sniffles), then the seabass from the specials board, both yummy. December 2025.
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeGreat atmosphere, super friendly staff and delicious food as always!
Suree’s Kitchen – IronbridgeWent for a family meal at the Malthouse there was 11 people which was booked weeks before they sat us in the back room and the tables were not together we had to do that ourselves the food was good but the service was terrible the girls who do the service need training better
The Malthouse – TelfordChristmas day lunch very nice
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyVery generous offer of £40 following a serious failure last year. The food and atmosphere were very good. Although a limited choice and the Vegan offer from previous was poor. The pub is not really accessible im in a wheelchair. Although you can access it via a back entrance through a very scruffy unkempt yard. It's a shame the ramp outside is stepped
The Last Inn – NewportWe always have a very enjoyable visit to The Queen's Head were the food is always excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work guys. Thank you.
